amd has 6 cpus coming next month. all of them have an l3. 2 are the triple core cpus, two are a 4mb l3 deneb and one is a 2.6ghz deneb. all are am3. we should see very low prices from these and they should be way below intel's prices from some so it would make since if intel dropped the prices of some cpus to match them.

They have the gimped Q8XXX and Q6600 to match X4 and C2D to match the X3s, so yes they will match them too.

Intel don't adjusts prices according to amd, they do that on there own agenda.

The price cut we see now were probably planed since 2008, the release of phenom2 had nothing to do with it.

On the other hand amd is not in the position to dictate prices, they have to price there cpus according to intels prices and have to undercut them.

It was the other way round with A64, but that times are long over.

Seems the Americans are having the price cuts already , don't see much change here in Europe

Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved

Remark : They call me Pro Asus Saaya yupp, I agree

New price cuts seems great, especially q9550 and q9650; but do that price cuts are for sure? Any possibility of Intel not making such an announcement tomorrow?

Dude, ouch. Q9450 for $360? There are a few places carrying the Q9550 for cheaper than that.

For my part I know nothing with any certainty, but the sight of the stars makes me dream.

by the time there's actually price cuts enough to make it worth it (bought from NCIX) its not really worth the hassle, i was initially going to go for the 9550, 9450 will still suit me fine
