Impressive 20.39 MAccess/s on that PCM05 run Honestly, the IMC is the only positive difference between Yorkfield and Nehalem in regards to PCM05 and only really shown in that one test

Wow dino you are on FIRE !

Nice runs mate, seems that you are going crazy with that setup ! Soon 4.9GHz uncore

Seeing that great PC Mark 05 run, was like hearing that part of pulp fiction over and over again

    Ezekiel 25:17

The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides with the iniquities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who in the name of charity and good will shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon those with great vengeance and with furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know that my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee

Bam, bam, bam, bam, bam, bam

    hehe

Nice Runs! Looks like you didn't install your storage drivers? Too bad otherwise you would have had a much better PCMark score! Time to rebench!

yes ment raid driver - I guess you did. Hmm wonder what caused the low HDD perfromance then. Had wrongly assumed that you ran without raid driver which can cause significantly lower HDD scores

i did actually initially run without it and was wondering why the heck i couldnt enable caching heheheh

but i am still having issues after installing so now i'm not sure wtf its about
the only thing that changed significantly was virus scan which was at 555.....your HDD performance is awesome as i was comparing my runs to yours while benching

    me and software issues
there's always something isnt there heheheh

    There is....
Possibly you needed to rebuild the array after installing the driver scores look like write thru cache disabled

I found when benching with 3 to 5 i-Rams I would have to routinely re-build the array to get performance back to par. It can all be done in Windows through the Matrix Raid software, works like a charm. You only need ~200MB I believe for PCMark also, split amongst 5 i-rams is a pathetic 40MB per device I believe Write Cache was also only helpful with the Virus Scan, but resulted in a huge performance jump.

edit: You'll know when you need to rebuild also, all your HDD scores will plummet 10% and your score will bounce all over the place. Don't know what causes it, defragging doesn't seem to help.

    Mike

    Congrats on the W.R. btw
that pixel shader looks really good for ATI card...is it because you are running a single card i wonder

i have to revisit this one they on LN2 and a proper Raid controller i think

    here is a direct comparison

you can see how sick my HDDs are
daddy will fix you fellas soon and try again with some iRAMage hehehe

...this was with 4750MHz CPU speed on my end..... vs 4960MHz on Mike's end
single 4870X2 860/990 from memory vs *unsure of clocks*

how does this acard stuff working mike > Acard ANS-9010...how many drives are we talking?

pcmark05 and pcmark vantage hdd scores aren't consistent, probably need to re-run the benchmark a few times and you'll see
