^ lol
@ 600mhz for now.. burning in for short while
vdimm/mem speed not optimal yet
Dunno yet so far same as my old pair on the other board.
That depends on so many factors, if you are running only for DDr2 high speeds and low processor speed like 6X333 is one volt but to run 500x9 on Quads that voltage doesn't suffice.
Thats Napalm![]()

thanks lol
exactly.. chipsets/diferent rev chipsets/mobos.. all @ different vdimm
running 500x9 q9650 and mem @ 600.. rated vdimm goes out the window
500x9 q9650 @ rev A2 p45 is one reason
another.. if the kit is not able to run @ high voltage ~2.8v it goes back to manufacturer
2gb modules can sustain higher voltage than 1gb ones
2.5v no biggie.. though im not posting all this to invite you guys to run at such voltage
run vdimm you guys see fit @

lol i think i just invented another way of cooling mems
Sorry guys i meant FAN
What are your ambient temps guys ? I have 26 to 27C
At 2,15 feels warm
I managed to put them at 1200 CL5 / PL8 / AI twisterd moderate / 2,05vdimm and NB 1,45 stable at multi 8,5
I can't do PL7 on this multi, and also can't do strong or stronger
I can run them 1200 5-5-4-15 on 2,1v but not stable on memtest, same on 1267 or more, i still can't boot on 1300 if i don't go up on PL
This are my stable 24/7 for now as i can't make the system stable at x9 multi on more than 4005mhz :O( i've been trying a month now and took me minutes to make it stable on x8,5
Cheers guys
will patent my GAN cooler![]()

Hey Napalm,
See if you can run these GSkill9600 using Gigabyte board fsb520xmulti6 / strap 2:50 / 266 = 1300DDR2mHZ 5-5-5-15
I can't pass simple DOS memtest 1, 5 or 7 with these new pair, I haven't tested the old ones yet.
EDIT: I think you can do it whats holding me is my cpu and vtt. I can't raise them more then 1.24v because I' using stock cooler (waiting on Duniek for the Cryo-Z mount that works with this Gigabyte).
So I raised the vcore a bit and was able to pass using 1:1 strap but I know these mem can pass 1300+ at 520x6 and more... Just wanna verify what vcore and vtt you need to pass that so I don't rma these sticks without a reason.

@ Jor3lBR - no matter the voltages.. no 1300even @ default no 1333 either
@ andressergio - 22-23 C
Ok Napalm thank you so much for your help.
I guess my ram isn't bad after all it's just too much stress for it at 520 fsb or higher I guess.
Probably the strap is bad too, I will use 2:40b strap I was able to run some benches at 5000Mhz with that one.
I need my Cryo mount or a good air cooler![]()
no 1300 on the extreme but ill try on the dq6
![]()
Jor3lBR - Would it be of any help if I were to try running the modules at 1300 (520 x 6) or are you only interested if its on the same motherboard as yours? I've been wronging strong since getting the modules at 1203hz (266Mhz divider and 400Mhz FSB) on 2.10v but I haven't messed around much at RAM speeds above that. Iv'e got the day off so it would be easy to test out.

Hey Roger thanks for your help, I think is more board related, this board is wonderfull but stresses ram slots much more then DFI or Asus I think.
I good easily run 1300 on DFI but never past 486 fsb so I can't compare.
It's that thing about compromise, to get a Quad stable at 4500(500x9) for 24/7 on low volts they had to compromise somewhere, but memory speeds are good so I'm satisfied.
I asked Napalm because he has a Gigabyte and I was afraid my Ram's where DOA or from a bad batch.

Jor3lBR - Your very welcome, I had a feeling that it was probably more board related and that is why you asked Napalm. With that said I also agree with you 100% about comprimise, it is very rare that you can push each component to its limit because theres always a weak link so to speak.
zsamz - I also agree with you regarding DFI boards being optimized nicely for 2 x 2GB combos, from personal experience they simply seem stronger in this department over most other boards (at least all the boards I've tested).

Great quad you got, but gigabyte boards produce very poor everest bandwidth, i went thru 3 gigabytes before i learned that lesson, your better off with a dfi, or asus. I have switched over to asus, and am never going back to a gigabyte board again.
