    check it out

Check out the latencie on this run in everest sweet. I have been playing with linked, synced, vs unlinked, your suppose to get better performance on linked, i really dont see the difference, you do get better everest read scores with linked, but your write, copy, drop off, and i have noticed for some reason on linked (2:1) super pi times drop off to. but seems to overclock ram easy.

Ok i guess this thread is deadddddd.

Nice score, you finally upgraded your Everest to the lastest version

With i7 and so many new boards out right now and with such a board that gave many people problems, no wonder why this thread is not active anymore.

Man, I been spending money on other stuff. This water cooling project was suppose to cost ~$400, but is now over $500 and I still need ~$400. Is the forum fault, with all this new fittings and designs, I want to have a really cool case

    hey guys

I just changed the stock heatsinks on my board, made some custom copper ones, now my nb is sitting at 34c idle, wow made a huge difference. I think this is a good board it just takes work to get where you want it. Have to show you some photos, had some copper blocks made for a metal shop, pretty cheap, and works sweet.

Is on ice? Wow, I guess you are trying to see whats the real limit on this board, but what will be your 24/7 (if you plan on doing so)?

    ha ha

Well Slim i dont mean really on ice, i mean the way i have set up the north bridge cooling its like on ice, running very cool, but my sb seems to be a tad hot, not sure why, im redoing my sb heatsink. I still have the problem with this board, it will not hold a overclock, runs fine, shut down, restart, i get a dram error on my lcd, have checked all timings, etc, cannot figure it out for the life of me, i may have to try another bios, i have really been hounding asus for a new bios, sending them email after email after email. Oh yeah slim, if i want to run 2 cards in sli, i know where the first card goes closest to the northbridge, where does the 2nd card go ? in the other blue slot ? or the white ?.

Hehe, sorry for insisting , but you promised those pics long time ago!
just go to paint and put save as jpeg and that will shrink it to ~100kb

    new heights

Well been playing with my striker 2 managed to get a little higher on linked setup, now my ram is holding me back, it just wont go any higher . I found it takes a lot of nb voltage to hold it steady i used 1.64 for this run. I need some memory sticks that will go higher. Sorry about the pictures slim, just havent had time to go and get my camera back, but will try this weekend.

This board takes alot of nb voltage to just get to 2000 ram speed, a really high amount, what is max nb voltage i can run safely 24/7 ?. I did notice that the TRC is very touchy, if not set just right, you get no boot, whats weird is once in window i use memset 4.0 i can lower it way down and it runs fine?? i dont get it, if works in windows it should work in bios and boot.

I dont see you overclocking your board at all slim, whats up ?. My goal is to hit 14,500 in everest, but need some good ram.

Sad to hear warboy selling his board.

I still visit this thread every once a week, but since most people will go for i7 to avoid problems with nForce, this thread is dead.

    sad

Sad to see, i finally got my board to reboot all the time now, was running to low of a TRC, boots everytime, pretty decent board. My board does everything i want now thats it fixed, i see no reason to go to i7, i dont see the benifit in doing so, maybe down the road. I dont see alot of the problems that people complain about this board, the main problem i see with this board is HEATTTTT, you overclock this board you better have good cooling, the stock cooling is a complete joke. This is definitly a hard board to overclock, i think people get frustrated and give up, it takes major patience, definitly a learning curve.

Slim when you going to push that board, it aint meant to run stock come on .

    Problem Description

Stable, Although I know I can get this PC running better by tighting the memory timings. I think they are alot more loose than they need to be, but it took me what felt like forever to get this thing stable. I went with crazy loose timings to see if it would work, It did, got through 10 memtest86+ passes with no errors and 20 Intel Burn Test runs with no errors so I left it as is for the meantime so I could finally use it. Would like some advice at tightening the timings and not screwing up my system and making it unstable again or causing data corruption, because it would be a real pain in the but to reformat again. hah :-P

Try lowering your Trc into the 30s, you should be able to drop your trfc 78ish, twr try a 10 and try 1t and see if it works. Enable p1 p2.

I know, but what can I do? If I could have the money to get what I need for my water cooling, I would get everything and spend 5 days without leaving my house watercooling and overclocking my board!
