Windows 7 is what my last overclock was on, just didn't change it. Its not on raid, I have a 500gb and a 250gb in the system, windows 7 is on the 250gb. Only problem I've had is that it only sees my 250gb. I haven't tried using AOD yet to see if I can get it working. All the regular benchmarks work fine for me. Right now my problem is that the temp sensor for the socket is frozen at -17 so I really have no clue how temps are doing.
Not much to say right now.

Ya I have tried to get AOD working on W7, however so far it's a no go. Can't find anything on the net either.

Here is a quick shot with CoreTemp.

Thanks pal. Does it change when you change the Voltage btw?

Have not tried it yet. Just got W7 installed last night and I am at work today. I would assume, but I will find out for sure when I get home.

I installed AOD on W7 would not work for me, it installed all the way, then I went to open the program and it told methat I need to have XP or Vista installed

No, no RAID here. Just a simple install to a separate partition.

How did you get it to install? Will it not run in compatibility mode?

The same result here too. any of you guys noticing any overclocking differences between OS's and bit's? 32bit XP overclocks a good 100mhz for me on the same voltages as opposed to 32bit vista/windows 7. Now 64bit seems to lowest clocking OS's of the bunch for me.

I'll download it and try to figure it out. Too bad I'm using higher voltages than I can set with it so it doesn't really serve a purpose for me anymore.

Edit: So I just went from 255x16 to 260x16, 11x on the nb, and my L3 latency just dropped like a rock from 5.7ns to 5.0ns. Kind of weird just cause it wasn't any kind of big change.

    What voltages are you using?

I have been able to get up to 1.66 in AOD by setting the vcore in BIOS to 1.56 (basicly one stop above 1.55). Then when you start up AOD it will show you something like 1.46, but you can check it against CPU-Z and see what the actual value is. From there you can up the voltages and watch it goes up in CPU-Z.

Mine won't even install, says I need XP or Vista. Tried compatibility mode for that, but no go.

Stock? I'm disappointed... I installed with it overclocked to 3825.

I can set my voltage up to 1.7v in bios, right now I'm finding my max bench speed which is currently 4.16 for testing. 4.08 is about as high as I'm willing to go regularly unless I can get to 4.1 without volts. I don't trust my power regulation beyond 1.6 because that's when the board gives the warning for over voltage. I'll probably see if the nb can go much higher though, currently its only at 2860.
Not much to say right now.

I have on idea. I installed it before I even looked, and I would have to unmount it to check. I may do that here in a bit.

    K, another 5 run Intelburntest completed;

    3.6Ghz CPU, 1.8Ghz NB/HTT, DDR800
    Vcore +0.075, '1D' Vnb and 2.16Vdimm.

FYI, Im only throwing the multi up by 1 step (2 if you count the half multi's too) and if it BSOD's I just add 0.025V untill it's stable. So maybe I could run 3.75Ghz with this Vcore, maybe 3.605Ghz, I dont know yet

Ive no Word installed yet, so could anyone tell me if this result looks good so far? Also, to be sure, 5 runs of Intelburntest are pretty reliable right? Not for 24/7 but to build on for higher OC's?

Im a bit of afraid for Prime95 after the last fiasco so want to stress as efficient as possible

Ok two things.... I got AOD to work (In Windows 7) and When I upped the vcore the VID changed in CoreTemp, of course it matches what AOD says VID is (NCspecV81).

anyone notice that AOD MB senors are says 137C now with phenom II 940 it read right with my 9850
all my voltage on that page changed to 0.00 and no more vidss now it reads

    system memory
    CPUVDDA
    chipsetanalog 1.2
    cpu core
    cpu northbridge

they all read o.oo- and sometimes pop up with 0.01

I think I'm going to try 1.66 volts again.

@ Bert, I dont know. If there's another program to log Voltages I'd certainly try that to see if they match. But better do it ASAP because 1.9V spikes on a 45nm CPU... This might not have a direct effect but it might most likely have a huge impact on its lifetime.

Little update from my side, I tried running 3.7Ghz with same settings but BSOD, then I tried 3.8Ghz with +0.1V and it BSOD'd as well.

Since it's like bed time now I did a quick run on my previous 3.6Ghz stable OC but this time with HTT @ 300Mhz. I was seriously surprised to see it booting without any up and it completely Intelburntest 5 runs without issues as well.

Im seriously in love now I think my 24/7 goal will be 12.5x300 (3.75Ghz), 2.4Ghz NB and DDR1200. I hope I can make it happen but now I noticed the long forgotten freedom of HTT and multi's I can always find a way around it if it doesnt work as planned But thus far Im more than happy

PS, does a high HTT put a huge strain on any parts btw? Im still scared less that something might blow up Guess in the end it wont have much of an effect on the MOSFETs, does it have on the NB or the SB?

High htt doesn't strain on anything to my knowledge. I prefer to do most of my clocking with htt so I don't do huge increments.

Side note for my current testing, 4080 cpu and 3060 nb. I almost have all my memory speeds over 10k mb/s according to everest and my memory is only at 1020mhz. I think it got all my L3 speeds above 10k mb/s though, latency was only at 4.9 since the core isn't as fast as when I tested before. Temp sensor also isn't frozen anymore thankfully, just a reboot and it was fine.
Not much to say right now.

So none of you are able to pull off a 4.8g with phase? What are your temps at on phase?

The one at the boston event was pulling 4.8 easily with only 1.45 volts. IIRC the mach 2 reading was -50 on the display as soon as volts increased and temps dropped a little it would crash, etc etc it wasn't scaling with voltage it scaled better with just lower temps......

How bout with just upping multi's?

I was at least expecting some retails to do 4.3 to 4.6 taking into account that they may have had a decent chip....
