I really like what you did with the case. My friend has a antec 1200 and I really liked the black inside. Also what did you use to cover power cord it looks like a black piece of plastic?

Here are some pics of my Antec modded pretty basic.
    Stuff I did was:
    - New fans
    - Painting inside black
    - Neon inside (took them out already though)
    - 'Cable management' (still have to fix this when I do reverse HDD mod )
    - And a few more little tweaks

    Gonna do:
    - Slim MOD
    - Reverse MOD
    - Neon purple/blue
    - Cable management
    - The text 'hitman-47' removed and replaced with painted text
    - Remove the red from my cpu fan

I kinda fail at cable management though :P

what power cord are you talking about? the main 24pin? the stock fan holder is blocking that

It's the angle shot of the photo. The plastic thingy that seems to cover the 24pin connector is actually the removable fan bracket of the hard drive cages.

What do people use to mount a 240mm radiator below the 200mm fan?

I bought a Nine Hundred just before christmas and I'm planning to customize it this week.

So far from my planning stage, I've only got a couple of tips to contribute...

    1) Place black window screen mesh (bug screen) behind the front slots - in front of the intake fans - to help reduce dust. The material is very cheap and you can get it in fiberglass or aluminum.
    2) Look in the plumbing section for some nice round rubber flanges. I found some which are perfect for inserting into cable routing holes. You don't want to leave bare metal around the rim of the hole, because it can easily cut into your cables and cause a short.

Either file down sharp metal or use electrical tape on it. Fingers can also be easily cut by sharp metal.

Hey whats up guys, this is my first post and me signing up not to long ago. 2-3 Months ago I stumbled across this thread and was inspired by what you guys have done to your Antec 900 cases. So I purchased one and getting things ready for some modding.

Here is my first attempt of cutting holes with a Hole Saw and some short of drill bit (forgot name). It looks like a cone shape with a drill formation.

Anyways here are a few pics I took.

More views of the cut holes:

Now for some rubber grommets, but if anyone knows how to make one, by any chance you can tell me how.

As you can see, i've got my paint and other things ready to paint this case flat black. I'm getting my motherboard (EVGA 780i) pretty soon. I actually placed an
order already. Im going to replace all Antec stock fans with green LED's and much more.

    Thanks for the Ideas!

Hello all- I've been watching this thread for a few weeks now, and have finally completed my build.

I own two 900s now. The first was built in 2004 and contains the following:

Motherboard: Abit NF7-S v.2.0 (Perhaps the single greatest Socket A Motherboard ever produced)
CPU: AMD Athlon XP 2500+ Overclocked to 2.2GHz (3200+ specs)
    Memory: 2GB G. Skill PC3200 running at 203MHz (406MHz Dual Channel)
GPU: PNY GeForce 6600GT 128MB AGP 8X (Great card for it's time, but seriously showing its age now)
HDD: Western Digital HDDs throughout: 2x 80GB IDE for Boot and backup drives, 1x 200GB SATA for Storage and Page File and 1x SATA 500GB for games and applications
    Optical: 2x Lite-On 20X DVDRW Drives
    Cooler: Thermaltake Volcano 9
    PSU: Thermaltake Purepower 420W

I was long overdue to move up to a modern rig .

Thanks to the amazing work I've seen in this thread, I was able to carefully plan my own mod of the case using all the great ideas I found here. Thanks to all who posted their hard work!

    My mods are as follows:

Painted entire grey chassis flat black
    Reversed HDD mod
Drilled motherboard tray for cable routing
Modified Sunbeam 6 Channel Rheobus to glow green instead of blue
Replaced stock Tricool blue fans with green ones
    Profit!

I'm very happy with the results. I took a lot of pictures along the way, which I'll share in a (soon) future post. I need to resize my photos and load them onto my web server.

So again, thanks to everyone for sharing their work. Here's a couple preview shots...

Yeah that is what I thought, but it also went up 50 bucks just for those few changes which I think it kind of dumb but it looks good.

It is just new on the outside so yeah it would be an update. Still same name all they did is made it look more like the 1200, so yeah it is just a cosmetic change. It is based off the same internals as the original 900. So I would call that an update.

Thanks, I put a lot of time and effort into it. I'm really happy with it, and the system performance as well. Although unfortunately due to some game/OS incompatibility, I had to remove the X-Fi card. The onboard sound, however, is excellent as well and doesn't cause any problems.

I might wind up doing a slightly less ambitious cleanup of my old 900 as well.

Hmm... tried posting this yesterday but seems the forum crashed? Anyway...

Not much of a mod I know, but I think it looks nice with the front chrome dust filters, and it's easy to clean But does anyone have an idea how to fill the holes to the side of each drive cage, other than tape or card?

And does everyone else's side window wire mesh loose towards the front (at the tip of the triangle)?
