Sorry I have nothing productive to add to this post, it's just anytime anyone even attempts to critique one of Hard's reviews, he or she is either banned or must be retarded to even think of questioning him.
what a load of BS - i've witnessed that myself - kyle will close the door on you quick if you try to dispute what he says.

    Wow...

A $300 Phenom vs two Intel Extreme Editions... How about a nice benchmark around the same price point. Same with gaming, say a single HD4870 or such.

Oh well, that's why when you are looking a product you look at numerous reviews rather than going off of the first one you read.
Down to a single MATX rig, oh the room!

Man, Kyle really sucks. I know [H] "reviews" are usually bad, but I think this is a new level of "bad" that we hadn't seen previously. WTF?

If you wanna talk about immaturity, seeing some posters from that thread coming to XS just to whine about it - yeah good idea there.

That is one of the worst things I have ever read! To bench systems on such an un level playing field is just, well, astonishing. Then to let the IFB's come in and flame everything AMD, and to ban anyone that had anything negative to say about his review, is even more appauling.

I think Kyle may be spending too much time under Intels desks!

Re-post it here so I can read it?
Particle's First Rule of Online Technical Discussion:
As a thread about any computer related subject has its length approach infinity, the likelihood and inevitability of a poorly constructed AMD vs. Intel fight also exponentially increases.

    Rule 1A:
Likewise, the frequency of a car pseudoanalogy to explain a technical concept increases with thread length. This will make many people chuckle, as computer people are rarely knowledgeable about vehicular mechanics.

    Rule 2:
When confronted with a post that is contrary to what a poster likes, believes, or most often wants to be correct, the poster will pick out only minor details that are largely irrelevant in an attempt to shut out the conflicting idea. The core of the post will be left alone since it isn't easy to contradict what the person is actually saying.

    Rule 2A:
When a poster cannot properly refute a post they do not like (as described above), the poster will most likely invent fictitious counter-points and/or begin to attack the other's credibility in feeble ways that are dramatic but irrelevant. Do not underestimate this tactic, as in the online world this will sway many observers. Do not forget: Correctness is decided only by what is said last, the most loudly, or with greatest repetition.

    Rule 3:
When it comes to computer news, 70% of Internet rumors are outright fabricated, 20% are inaccurate enough to simply be discarded, and about 10% are based in reality. Grains of salt--become familiar with them.

Remember: When debating online, everyone else is ALWAYS wrong if they do not agree with you!

    Random Tip o' the Whatever
You just can't win. If your product offers feature A instead of B, people will moan how A is stupid and it didn't offer B. If your product offers B instead of A, they'll likewise complain and rant about how anyone's retarded cousin could figure out A is what the market wants.

Heh. I got an confirmation that maroon1, the OP, indeed is an troll. He seems to be fierce Intel fanboy in another forum(tech-forums). The thread was made to provoke. It should be closed.

So long as we're having fun with it (we seem to be) and remain civil (we have so far), why not keep it going? Instead of going at each other, we've all just been making fun of HardOCP collectively. If this was a troll attempt, it failed. lol

I dont think it was meant to provoke, otherwise he would be here provoking something? Maybe he has spent too much time over there, and hasnt read any other reviews. If he is trolling, he isnt doing a very good job of it.

I think people are being slightly sensitive. His conclusions in the review seem to be bang on.

1.) Can overclock well compared to last generation Phenoms

3.) Many improvements over last generation Phenoms in general.

4.) Good as a drop-in upgrade for existing AM2+ users.

5.) Core2Quad still likely a better buy if you're starting from the ground up.

    6.) Slower than Core2Quad and i7.

I think most people are upset by his statement: "Phenom II is a loser." Maybe that was a little extreme.

For my part I know nothing with any certainty, but the sight of the stars makes me dream.

Kyle suxz Intel dik big time! I really hate review sites that are biased and full of . The things I hate the most is people that blatently player hate, lie, and steal. Kyle fits the bill of two of these aspects. I'd believe Fud or Inq over anything from Hardcop....I haven't been to that place since the quake/quack situation.
