There is a supposed limitation in the IMC that only supports 'one dimm per channel' at 1066. I say 'supposed' because some people have successfully run four sticks. It isn't a motherboard thing, it's the CPU. I'm running 4x1 G.Skill 1066 by dropping the ram down in bios and jacking the bus speed up.....1000 ddr2.

has anybody been able to break the 4ghz mark stable for 24/7? Just curious because that is what AMD said this chip was capable off on air.

Check out ASUSes QVL (qualified vendor list): Memory Configurations for M3A79-T

Some modules allow you to populate all four DIMM slots, but others like the OCZ 1066 Reapers I purchased only allow two. I won't be going 8GB anytime soon, atleast at rated timings.

I'm think I'm running memory problems, but they OC above 1066mhz 1120mhz wouldn't got stable. even with votls at 2.3 but stable at 1,.98 at 1,100mhz

I hope they fix the 790FX ACC problems soon. I hope the problem IS fixable. The 790GX didn't have the free PCIe lanes necessary for my monster.

    AOD thinks I'm at 3.9ghz.

Does anyone else have AOD crash their system (just opening it) when CPU core is set higher than 1.45v's in bios?

Guess I'll look for that AOD.ini mod to allow 1.55v's in AOD even though it killed my MSI DKA790GX...

I'm pretty sure this Asus has a much beefier PWM section than the MSI did..

the PWM on the M3A79-T is great!

If only they will overclock with less voltage, that would be awesome. How high in voltage have people taken the P II's already on water or air????

I have had it up to 1.66 on water for at least an hour benching. Does not seem to mind it a bit.

thatīs just CnQ.. i think it has nothing to do with cpu-tweak.
when i enable CnQ with my oc settings the lowest state is 900mhz/1.0V, but itīs not stable that way (because of the lacking cpu-tweak??). vantage crashed when i tried running it with CnQ enabled.
at stock settings i can enable everything except acc without any problems.

For anyone who may be interested (and doesn't already know, Thanks Ben).

Editing the Preference.xml file for AOD worked like a charm, allows me to go to 1.55v's in AOD and doesn't instantly crash when Bios is set over 1.45v on the CPU.

The Asus 79-T seems to handle these v's just fine.

BE ADVISED: IF YOUR BOARD HAS A WEAK POWER SECTION OR INADEQUATE COOLING DON'T TRY THIS!
The MSI DKA790GX is a perfect example...
