I got 267 with the 15x multi. Not sure if higher was a problem because of my ram though. My board is just being finicky with any real settings I try with it. Its finally starting to get colder though, a few degrees here according to the socket temp, but that's all I have to go by other than evap temp which doesn't say much.
Not much to say right now.

Yes, and that's the whole point. CPU temps are CPU temps regardless of the cooler. If people with better coolers and/or lower ambients are clocking better because their core temperature is lower, that's significant. From my experiments, temps seem almost more important than voltage on Deneb.

    ...

EDIT: No go, sadly my ram isnt going to cooperate with this little experiment. Either I drop the multi of it down and then my board wont post 300+ or I go out of spec of my ram and it BSODs.
Yes, I've seen interesting multiplier issues as well. The lower multipliers seem more stable. Fortunately, we can drop the HTT multiplier and change the RAM multiplier and sidestep both of the issues at once (to a point).

I'll elaborate on how to keep your RAM from being a problem.

    HTT:RAM Frequency Ratios
    400MHz RAM Setting = 1:1
    533MHz RAM Setting = 1:1.33
    667MHz RAM Setting = 1:1.67
    800MHz RAM Setting = 1:2

So for example, DDR2-800 memory with an HTT of 250MHz and a RAM setting being at DDR2-667 in the BIOS will yield 399MHz (which is the same as stock spec). Remember to drop your RAM multipliers, people!
Particle's First Rule of Online Technical Discussion:
As a thread about any computer related subject has its length approach infinity, the likelihood and inevitability of a poorly constructed AMD vs. Intel fight also exponentially increases.

    Rule 1A:
Likewise, the frequency of a car pseudoanalogy to explain a technical concept increases with thread length. This will make many people chuckle, as computer people are rarely knowledgeable about vehicular mechanics.

    Rule 2:
When confronted with a post that is contrary to what a poster likes, believes, or most often wants to be correct, the poster will pick out only minor details that are largely irrelevant in an attempt to shut out the conflicting idea. The core of the post will be left alone since it isn't easy to contradict what the person is actually saying.

    Rule 2A:
When a poster cannot properly refute a post they do not like (as described above), the poster will most likely invent fictitious counter-points and/or begin to attack the other's credibility in feeble ways that are dramatic but irrelevant. Do not underestimate this tactic, as in the online world this will sway many observers. Do not forget: Correctness is decided only by what is said last, the most loudly, or with greatest repetition.

    Rule 3:
When it comes to computer news, 70% of Internet rumors are outright fabricated, 20% are inaccurate enough to simply be discarded, and about 10% are based in reality. Grains of salt--become familiar with them.

Remember: When debating online, everyone else is ALWAYS wrong if they do not agree with you!

You just can't win. If your product offers feature A instead of B, people will moan how A is stupid and it didn't offer B. If your product offers B instead of A, they'll likewise complain and rant about how anyone's retarded cousin could figure out A is what the market wants.

I don't really have much room left in the table to add temps in, plus I then I'd have to go and have everyone that already posted post temps as well. People on phase like me also don't technically have temps until we shove 1.6v or so through the chip.
Not much to say right now.

Not a big deal or anything, but could you try saving the database as an html file? Seems I have a different batch than everyone else. I've never yet owned a great chip (some good ones), so maybe this is my turn! CACVC AC 0850DPCW

Good place to ask this Id guess, but do you overclock northbridge/ hypertransport seperatelly from the core?

Halk thats not what I meant unfortunatelly, I'll trying to make this more clear this time.

Umm, I meant does it make it harder to clock up the northbridge/ hypertransport the higher you clock the core? Does it make it need more voltage or anything?

Because anyone that has a high core clock so far doesn't have much for northbridge/ hypertransport.

Yeah, the core multiplier has no effect on the rest of the system. So multiplier clocks work well. It's not the best overclock of course, the best one would be the lowest multiplier for the highest speed I guess.

    My 920 isn't a very good overclocker.

some mobos tend to overvolt under load.. mine does the same.
1.4875v set in bios results in 1.52-1.536v in cpu-z when running prime95

OG, give this application I wrote for you a try:

    Download Here

It's a database application and has built-in support for saving to an image. It should make maintaining the list a breeze. I included all the Prime95 data to get you started.

It requires two mundane things to work:
.NET Framework 2.0 or better (available in Windows Update if you don't have it or here x86 x64)
Microsoft SQL Server Compact 3.5 SP1 (2.5MB, free)
