    Question 2v too much for a mobile 2500 24/7?

I know a bit of a dumb question, but right now I'm priming well at 200x14, 2v set in the bios. Temps around 38C~40C w/ my water cooling (I need a better pump). I'm looking at trying to maintain this system until the 939's and PCI express are rather mainstream before upgrading again...But I've never pushed a cpu this hard before so I'm not sure how much this kills it vs. a much lighteer OC.

I'd say your ok to put 2v through it, with watercooling I wouldnt go over 2.15v. PCI Express wont be out for a while, at least a year if not several years. Are those temperatures under load? If your looking for a new pump get the danner Mag3 or the swiftech MCP600. I've had a tbred b 1700+ (stock 1.52v) run at 2.03v for over a year, and had no problems with it.

Yes, those temps are under load. As of right now, HW mon. says 40.5C. I'm actually looking at getting an Iwaki MD-15.

Edit: I should mention, those are load under prime95. Priming right now.

2 volts should be fine IMO. These are standard Barton cores, just cherry-picks. It's not like AMD is building these from a low-volt design.

    200*14 = 2800MHz? That's awesome! Mobiles rock.

2800 craped out during prime. So did 2700. But 2700 lasted longer then 2800.

2600 is 100% prime stable @2v...haven't tried a lower vcore yet, no intention to either. I'd like to get a 3ghz SS, but I can't get into windows that fast...

2600 is my best cpu yet.

Get the newest version of clockgen, np with the LP or Infinity - I use it on my Infinity all the time.

Why run 13x200 on a Lanparty? Wouldn't 10.5/11x250 be better :d or if your mem doesn't go that high 11.5x230! either way, thats a real nice OC and 2v shuldn't be that dangerous. Keep pushing!

Can't do 230 stable. Even with 3.3v vdimm. One stick of corsair xms pc3000 (bh-6), and one stick of corsair xms pc3200 (ch-5). 2x512 sticks and running in single channel right now.

Not sure why. I need to do some fiddling yet. I was running my 2100 before it died (my error) @ 220x10.5, but it seems that even with an fsb of less then 220 but higher then 200 and having a multi to give me as close to 2600 but below it so I know the cpu speed is stable, prime95 seems to still crap out on me.
