I don't think those voltages are correct in AOD. If I had to guess they are above 1.55 to get to 4.2

If I dont get every single drop out of my cpu I feel like someone is stealing from me
can it be so hard to achieve?
I'm doing the same with an intel chip prime stable......
Why would it be hard to believe for amd, sheesh my x2 3800 @ 90nm did up to 3.0 on .10 over stock.
Alot of overclockers just immediately go for the gusto and increase cpu volts expecting an uber high OC.
The ones that actually acchieve high clocks take they're time, tweak and give as little volts as possible......
If you look at his temps they are 33C which is just a tad below room temps, water cooling plus maybe an open window, honda whats load temps like? I'm guessing max 50C under a sustained load like prime for a few hours?
For reference a mach 2 pulled 1800mhz at boston event on .10 over stock........these chips do not scale well with voltage, they however scale higher at the same voltage when kept cooler.......when frozen below phase temps then you can throw volts at em.......
Its simple more volts = higher temps = less OC.........lower volts = lower temps = higher OC.......

I've got no strings to hold me down.
To make me fret, or make me frown.
I had strings but now I'm free.
There are no strings on me
yes Ive seen all the info online......thanks, I see everything you see........but Im the type to have some doubts sometimes......I just wont flow with the grain because everybody is on a high and wants to believe everything they see. I really dont want to insult anyone but Im going to speak my mind if I feel something might look a little strange to me Im going to question it. But I also realize maybe hes running chilled water or something thats why I mentioned it
Like I said I hope these are the kinds of results that will be common......theres alot of ocers that been here for a long time that should be able to do the same. Anyway I wont mess up this thread any further........good luck with the overclocking guys.

Shouldn't be too hard. My 940 seems to be doing 3.8ghz on stock voltage with a bios that doesn't even completely support it. I was able to install vista at 3.6ghz cpu and 2.4ghz nb with thos being the only settings I changed. No screens right now, I'll be working on that tomorrow while I do laundry before I go back to school along with getting everything installed on it. I didn't even take the time to put a wireless card in system yet so I have internet at the house. But the only thing that matters is that the vapo works, other than I put a connector on wrong because my lcd temp thing on the front doesn't show anything useful.
Not much to say right now.
Particle's First Rule of Online Technical Discussion:
As a thread about any computer related subject has its length approach infinity, the likelihood and inevitability of a poorly constructed AMD vs. Intel fight also exponentially increases.
Rule 1A:
Likewise, the frequency of a car pseudoanalogy to explain a technical concept increases with thread length. This will make many people chuckle, as computer people are rarely knowledgeable about vehicular mechanics.
Rule 2:
When confronted with a post that is contrary to what a poster likes, believes, or most often wants to be correct, the poster will pick out only minor details that are largely irrelevant in an attempt to shut out the conflicting idea. The core of the post will be left alone since it isn't easy to contradict what the person is actually saying.
Rule 2A:
When a poster cannot properly refute a post they do not like (as described above), the poster will most likely invent fictitious counter-points and/or begin to attack the other's credibility in feeble ways that are dramatic but irrelevant. Do not underestimate this tactic, as in the online world this will sway many observers. Do not forget: Correctness is decided only by what is said last, the most loudly, or with greatest repetition.
Rule 3:
When it comes to computer news, 70% of Internet rumors are outright fabricated, 20% are inaccurate enough to simply be discarded, and about 10% are based in reality. Grains of salt--become familiar with them.
Remember: When debating online, everyone else is ALWAYS wrong if they do not agree with you!

You just can't win. If your product offers feature A instead of B, people will moan how A is stupid and it didn't offer B. If your product offers B instead of A, they'll likewise complain and rant about how anyone's retarded cousin could figure out A is what the market wants.

@Particle - I put you in the table but I'm missing some information from you. Stepping, Mobo, and Memory Config(Just guessed 2x1gb)
New list uploaded with 10 minutes.
Edit: List updated and its really sad that I had to spend 15 minutes trying to find the control panel on asetek's site for my vapochill. Search for downloads and it comes up with nothing.

Because last I've been seeing cascade and such seem to be getting not much higher than that 5-5.3

I need to update my bios to figure anything out. I'm installing drivers/utilities as I'm typing this. Right now its at 3.7 cpu and 2.4 nb.
Man... seeing you hit that on water makes me really want to get 5ghz with the vapo. Do you want me to switch your entry to that with the new os or just make a new one since its a different os?
Not much to say right now.
Old guy is that 3.7 (3.8? from sig) with 2.4 nb with air or on your vapochill?
Anyone know if the heatspreader is soldered?
Anyone done some power consumption measurements when heavily OC'ed?
4.8G on water? Amazing. =)
Wonder what will happen in coming months once the process matures...

You were not supposed to see this.
I got 3.7GHz out of the box with 1.45v on air.
http://img396.imageshack.us/my.php?image=940oc2kx7.jpg
I am overclocking using AOD at this time. I am going to find my max with it. My first crack @ 06 with HD 4870 1Gb Crossfire is 20235.
http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=9560945
I'm using the old 8.10 driver because it is the least problematic.
More results in a bit.
PH1 is soldered, I dont think they would change this on PH2
Oc'd from bios...On air unoptimized.

Its on the vapo, didn't even bother touching it with air. 3.7 with just the multi didn't like prime, I'm going to try from the 18x multi and go up using htt. I haven't touched volts yet, I want to see exactly how far it goes on stock first.
Not much to say right now.
