This topic has been created just for the DFI JR X58-3TH6 Micro Atx motherboard. Here we can discuss everything about this cool looking (and hopefully good performing) motherboard that is estimated to come out around the 23rd of January.

When you have to clear CMOS setting into default, you don't need to open the case anymore! There is a unique circuit in LANParty UT series, just press "Power" & "Reset" buttons in the motherboard or PC case at the same time, the CMOS will be set into default.

News update:

DFI is preparing a microATX board based on Intel X58 chipset slated for release in January 2009. The PCB is black in colour and has 6 layers measuring at 245x245mm size. With 6 phase digital PWM design, it supports the LGA1366 processors from 4.8 to 6.4GT/s QPI. There are 6 DIMM slots on the board to allow up to 24GB DDR3-800/1066/1333 memories and two PCIe x16 slots for 2-way SLI and Quad Crossfire.

Other features include 1 x PCIe x4, 1 PCI slot, 6 SATA ports configurable with RAID 0/1/0+1/5, one IDE port, 12 USB ports, Realtek ALC889 HD Audio, Marvell 8053 GbE LAN. There are 7 fan connectors onboard with EZ-On (Power) and EZ-Touch (Reset) switches and a Software Debug LED. I've been keeping my eye out for this board for a few days now. HTPC's are going to get a nice boost, and iirc, this is the first SLi capable mATX board so that opens it up for allot of great cards on both sides of the fence.

Now that the topic has been started: I can't wait for the board to be released. This last week i have been looking everywhere i can on the web to find a shop that might be selling it. Even at work, and i love my job so that pretty much proves i'm obsessed with this piece of art.

If anyone finds a website that accepts pre-orders please post it here so that i can order it asap

I just love the fact that i can put a super powerful machine in a very tiny case. I can't wait to see the faces of the people at lanparties with their huge cases and QX 775 processors in it acting tough and me just pwning their machines with my power box :P

I know it's not the best looking case out there but i'll be attending some lanparties once a while. That's a big reason why i didn't go for a HTPC case.

I am interested in the application of this JR to either a Lian Li V350 / A05B. With the A05B you have much more room for larger coolers, as the PSU is seated in the front. With the V350, you do have to use a very low profile cooler, and I'm wondernig if the heat generated my Nehalem makes this unfeasible.

Other than that, I also hope to use the JR in my H2g0 and have a completely internal WC (no 120.2 hanging of the back).

PS. Remcokatz - it really is a swell thread. You can tell that you've put some effort in. Keep up the good work - you'll be helping out many who I'm sure appreciate the effort

I'm finding my feet with this board but it's very nice - I can confirm that SLi and crossfire work fine and that we now have two x16 PCI-e lanes to play with

I am interested to see how it OC's the i920's. From what I gather, they seem to hit consistant speeds across all released X58 mobos - hope the JR doesn't fall short of the 3.8-4.2 mark.
