    Bclk
    190 = stable
    193 = unstable
    194 = impossible
    over 194.. always sais LOCKED on LCD Poster, never got a DET DRAM message

    I got a little closer according to the LCD Poster tho, 1 time it booted with 194.. but the CPU was running at 14.13GHz , the other times it showed DET DRAM and CHECK CPU, maybe 10-15sec between them.. but well.. there is some magic über wall between 193-194 for some reason

    Tried bios 0804 & 0805, cpu voltages between 1.35 and 1.5, QPI 1.35 to 1.42, IHO 1.3, 1.65v mem, uncore always twice memory, removed 1 memory, HT&Turbo on/off.. it only booted 1 time.. and it said the CPU was running 14.13GHz so.. fail

    Im currently running:

    HT & Turbo: On
    Bclk: 190
    CPU: 3990MHz with 1.312v
    Memory 1527MHz 8-8-8-24-1T 1.65v

    I could run 180 bclk (3.8GHz) and memory at 1800MHz 9-9-9-26 maybe?

    Still why wont it boot with anything above 193 bclk.. like all people in this thread have done it

    Edit: Tried TurboV now.. changed from 190 to 193.. worked fine.. then.. BAM 194 the ultimate number of doom.. it worked for ~~ 7 seconds, when i moved the mouse it "lagged" frame by frame = something is very wrong with BCLK 194+, could the motherboard be broken somehow? Because I payed alot of money and I expect to get over 193..

    got that problem to..192 is all i can go ..........getting the LOCKED on bootup

    When I push my rams to hard.. it "locks" up to..,
    Exampel: My rams are 1866 9-9-9-24.., I set 200 bclk/1600 ramspeed and try to force 7-7-7-20.., it locks up.., 8-8-8-20 and I will boot...
    But if I back off to 190 bclk (rest in set fsb) and set 7-7-7-20.., it will run...

    Try mess with rams abit to c if you get passed this "locked"...
    getting my rams to run 1800 is a no go...

    Look at cstkl1 posts.., he manouvers his rams in different settings very nice!

    You must try different settings.., 9-9-9-24.., 10-10-10-24.., if rams are rated 1600 8-8-8-20 doesnt mean that this is what you will get..

    Lets try Rampage Bios 0903

    [ 0903 ]
    ----------------------
    Fixed the function for adjusting BCLK abnormal in TurboV when set BCLK > 200MHz in BIOS setup

    http://dlsvr01.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/...treme-0903.zip

    I just flashed myself. Seems ok. Will try settings later.

    Jusy plain Luck . What you can try is set vcore to 1.35, vqpi to 1.35 and vdimm to 1.65. Try the CPU Amplitude Control in the bios and set it to 1000mv. It helped me from 1.37 to 1.35 vcore in bios.

    I'm kinda wondering about that too?

    I'm having to use above 1.45 for anything decent, although my temps are pretty good regardless - 29 Idle / 40-49 load MAX.

    Thanks I think I have more head room I just need more time with the board. I found this easier to OC than my QX9650. I also had he board booting @ 205 BClk stable with stock HS temps were just too high 90C after about 20 seconds small FFt's. That was on an open bench setup in a 16C basement.

    You sure about those temps? I saw a person using a Quad Rad and tons of air pushing it with temps of over 65 for 1.45.

    Mine runs around 62 MAX load at 1.4 thats with a thermochill PA 120.2 though.

    I have a 480mm Rad with the CPU on a single loop with 4 silverstone 110cfm fans on a fan controller. I have to use 1.45v to 1.55V for anything to be stable between 3.9ghz to 4.3ghz. With Ht off I get temps of 65c-70c at load, with HT on I get 78-82c at load!! What Scaramonga is seeing is the CPU temp, not the actual temps of the cores. The CPU temps show a lot lower than the actual core temps...
    (New build):MSI Big Bang X-power II with XSPC MB blocks, Core I7 3930k@4.6Ghz with HT on, 3x GTX 480 SLI with EK Waterblocks(for now), X-fi Titanium, Gskill quad kit 16GB 2133mhz, 2x240GB Corsair GT SSD's(raid 0), 3xWD 2TB drives, Silverstone Strider ST1500 Watt, Dell3007WFP and 2x Samsung 305T's. Water loop: EK HF CPU block, XSPC RX480 Rad, Coolgate GC480, Airplex Revolution 420 Rad, 2x DDC 3.25 18W with EK dual top, Caselabs STH10 white with customizations....

    No wonder....so you have the vent right behind your radiator with your fans pulling cold air in??

    Got my new chip today, straight from the beast's mouth

    Currently running 64-bit Prime stable (small, large, and blends tests) with 4-cores/8-threads at 21x200MHz (no turbo, straight 21x200MHz on the Core i7 940) with DRAM at 1603MHz with 7-8-7-20-1T timings at 1.40800V CPU/1.65681V DRAM and 1.35000V QPI/DRAM (VTT)

    It's an "A" chip btw and all on air all the way
