The stupid thing though was sitting back and drinking the beer and then turning and my watch caught on one of the LN2 flasks... yup, ended up toppling the second one and got two LN2 flasks all over me hahahaha. Lucky it was 30+'C when we were benching

Hook, line and sinker - thanks for playing Francois

We give you a bit of a go re: cold bugs etc but it's good to see you can play the fun game too

Mate, he's not trolling if we baited him first, now is he? He took our cheeky remark in the video with a bit of jest and got on with it - I can't see any trolling, just playfulness.

High NB works fine (well, it was for us) but high HT Link induces the CB.

Fun as always Dino. Once I get the rest of the moolah together I'll have the tank sorted and we can get two days drunken sessions happening

full tank + full fridge + spare room (don't wanna be drink driving ~_~) and there's a combo for a disaster... at least it'll be fun

NO offence, but amd deneb still not faster in superpi than intel nehalem i´ve seen almost 5,86ghz deneb on Ln2 nitrogen scored 12,3+ sec then nehalem can fix it under 3,4-3,7ghz deneb will be Overclocked into a atleast 8-12ghz+ to reach under 8-10 seconds 1M but deneb is still good and better than old amd and its nice to see amd come back

Super Pi is not all....and its very cache depended, and also the amd system cost less than the Ci7 system.

Super pi is very bad program to make a fair compair this days, its to old to make a fair compair.

Whenever you guys aren't under nda anymore I have a thread started in the AMD section for Phenom II overclocks. I have two separate lists for stable clocks and suicides/not completely stable.

Can you say just how high you did take the nb with that ln2? When the 9850's came out I had one do 2750 on the nb with my vapo ls. Are we going to be seeing 3ghz+ with cold on the nb or is that still just a dream of mine?

Have fun with that chip man, keep the clocks and benches coming.
Not much to say right now.

My flash drive went through the wash But I just tested it (dried thoroughly for a couple days) and it worked without a hitch, hahah.

I'll post them in two days.

Man, you diss your own cooking but it was good; I enjoyed it

I was wondering how long that would take But it's for the best right? There's no use getting bored

I'll be looking forward to you thrashing that Bloomfield I know you're sitting on

I'm too busy to take another screenshot of the finished spreadsheet but this is what I've been throwing together - all specs are completely stable. The table shows comparisons between Deneb, Agena, Yorkfield and Bloomfield at different CPU frequencies and bus frequencies.

Note: The table is extremely low res and squintastic because of the NDA. The full info and comparisons will be out very soon.

The system specs of the systems tested are:

    Deneb based test system
Processor: AMD Phenom II X4 940 Black Edition
    Motherboard: GIGABYTE MA790GP-DS4H
    Memory: Corsair Dominator PC2-10000 5-5-5-15 2GB (2x1GB)
    Graphics: GIGABYTE HD4870 1024MB
    Power Supply: Silverstone OP1000 / Corsair TX750
    Storage: Intel X25-M SSD

    Agena based test system
Processor: AMD Phenom X4 9950 Black Edition
    Motherboard: GIGABYTE MA790GP-DS4H
    Memory: Corsair Dominator PC2-10000 5-5-5-15 2GB (2x1GB)
    Graphics: GIGABYTE HD4870 1024MB
    Power Supply: Silverstone OP1000 / Corsair TX750
    Storage: Intel X25-M SSD

    Nehalem based test system
CPU: Core i7 965 Extreme Edition
    Motherboard: ASUS P6T Deluxe

    Graphics: GIGABYTE HD4870 1024MB

I'll blame an out of balance washing machine though

Im meeting up with Benny (Team Indo) this weekend and will get set up with peripherals to finally start something (on air) until my tank arrives.

3GHz+ should be quite possible (that one was with a retail CPU and with TRUE aircooling, normal room temp)

That's disgusting... that makes me wonder if I'd rather have 5ghz with a 2.5ghz nb or 4ghz on both if possible. I'm sure at that point the nb would be having a dramatic effect on performance since it would be double the stock speed. But that's what testing is for.

I heard a certain someone was benching these latest retails on LN2 with higher NB heheheh

maaaaan there was a monster drop in time from 1GHz NB to 2GHz in Spi (much bigger than what massman recently tested with Phenom X4 9950 CPU)
NB speed - kick ass for 32M SuperPi
