Hi All,
I have two questions relating to the ASUS P6T Deluxe (and probably applies to most other ASUS m/b for that matter):
1. If I run Everest or OCCT, I get a CPU Case temperature reading that is below the core readings (as you would expect) in the high-20's at Idle. However, if I run ASUS PC Probe - suddenly the CPU temperature jumps by 10C - both in PC Probe but also affecting the readings in the other programs.
Which is correct ? Does anyone else see this behaviour ?
2. When you are in BIOS - what clock rate is the CPU running at ? Is C-State/Speedstep in effect ?
I find that the CPU temperature reading in BIOS Hardware Monitor is always *higher* than what I see in Windows (regardless of the issues in #1) - as if when in BIOS the CPU is running at full clock rate and not Idling down.
Ultimately - I am trying to find the most accurate & trjue reading of CPU Case temperature.
