Another ? I just must ask
I noticed the NB multiplier seem's to only go to 9x is that really the limit?
I swore it was usually at 10x and had the option of up to 11x or so.
My bet is on you hitting maybe 4.3-4.4 core and 2.65 nb/core.

leoy umm 3.2.....am I smokin something?
But isn't that your core clock not northbridge?
Since motherboard's don't support 3.2nb yet...I have a feeling am3 will to catch up to i7's qpi interconnect and uncore clocks more.

I no longer have a Asus M3A79-T board anymore either...I also did not mean for that to be so high.. I also wondoer if AOD was having a glitch, my ram was above 1200mhz and is is 1066 ram LOL...I went to open CPU-z to see what it said and the system crashed..I never got to see. so it was either right and was not stable at all,,or a board fluke and AOD messing with my head.
I just had it set to just over 2.5NB and 2.2HT, 4ghz cpu in XP and it seemed stable.
I have been doin some 3ghz CPU, 2ghzNB and HT benches to compare against my 9950 at those same settings. I just ran a Cinebench run in Windows 7 on the CPUs..I can't say which chip this is tho

Holy crap charged no wonder the thing crappy out your voltages on the memory and nb are way high from what I've seen. 2.4 isn't insane but I can't imagaine how hot your mosfet's and northbridge must have gotten.
3000 nb boot and 670 is insanely high and gives more power to my theory of even higher nb possibility on am3...granted not a massive amount at this point but it's guaranteed there going to push these chips as hard as they can to try and get a good spot between yorkfields power consumption and nehalem's performance.
When AMD had 64-bit and Intel had only 32-bit, they tried to tell the world there was no need for 64-bit. Until they got 64-bit.
When AMD had IMC and Intel had FSB, they told the world "there is plenty of life left in the FSB" (actual quote, and yes, they had *math* to show it had more bandwidth). Until they got an IMC.
When AMD had dual core and Intel had single core, they told the world that consumers don't need multi core. Until they got dual core.
When intel was using MCM, they said it was a better solution than native dies. Until they got native dies. (To be fair, we knocked *unconnected* MCM, and still do, we never knocked MCM as a technology, so hold your flames.)by John Fruehe

I think that in high frequencys, phenom keeps up better.... there isn't any clock to clock deficiency.
