I'm in. Five cards folding and I might just be upgrading to a 55nm gtx260 or 285, depending on the gain i'd get from the card.

If we get another cold spell, I might just have to turn on the cpu folding again.

Is is still cold in most of America? It was 80F in New Orleans today. Great weather for the Sugar Bowl. I don't really want to heat my room up too much.

^^ me too.. I bet those gtx260's come down in price a little once the 285's get released. I want to put it in my main rig to replace the 9800gt. then move the 9800gt to the 9600gso rig... I haven't been too happy with teh gso lately on the new wu's. it still does fine on some, but every once in a while I check and it's huffin, puffin, and sweatin' 2700ppd on a monster wu,

I'm in but will this kill our spring break race? I do like lingerie but I like 19 year olds in bikinis better.

You guys are killing me. My last 2 power bills have totaled about $1467. I'll be sitting this one out. The next 2 months need to be $300 or less even if RR and TD pass me back.

I'll be folding but don't want to be on a team. I'd feel compelled to put the hammer down.

What if we move the dates so one week falls in March. I'm not sure of the billing dates for everyone's electric... but this might help...
then you can participate and maybe release some JATO's in March, and pay the price in April..

That might work. We had a rate increase in October and another Jan. 1st. I don't even know how many machines I can run anymore.
I'll have a better idia after I get January's bill. Like OC I'm consolidating. I'll be squeezing 7 cards into 2 rigs and mix and match with what's left over.

One idea guys is to put the focus on recruiting larger teams rather than building out huge farms. If each of us can pull in a new GPU folder for the competition, we all win! That might be a real lasting contribution, too. Get more XS folks folding on a GPU or heck even running the little ol' systray client.... just a thought.

I agree with this idea coo-coo-clocker.

It starts getting too expensive (and HOT!) to run that many cards / cpus in one household.

So how do we go about doing this? Its been difficult in the past.

I volunteered, but any one can do it if they want... it's not hard, just a little time consuming... so if anyone wants to take a turn at scorekeep, raise your hand..

I did the last 2, then Marvin said he would do the next one.. but he left the team all together, other than him no one else has showed any interest.

I wouldn't mind but I wouldn't be able to do it at 7AM to keep DAK happy Plus weekends are rough, I'm in and out and not necessarily available each weekend to tally up stuff.

LOL! Dak is more excited about harassing me than the comp... we have 7 weeks, so if you anyone wants to volunteer then I'm fine with it... I said I didn't want to do it again at the last comp, but you have to understand that was at the end when I had been waking up for the last 30 days with that little task on my plate... now that some time has gone by and I've had a break, I dont mind doing another 2 week one.. that 4 week one was a little monotonous, by week 3 I was sick of it...

2 Week comp is good...7AM???? That's damn near lunch time... Grey Goose attacks at noon. What can Sparky be thinking? Mike, me thinks you should already have a prelim roster going...

    Acme Jato rockets anyone?
