well would it be smart to try two first? and if it scales well in RAID, then buy 6 more so that if it's another core series, then you dont lose much

It would be smart to wait for others to test it before buying any

Well the 20% higher price doesn't seem to be all that to much IMO!

Extrteme-PC is a Canadian site, hence the high dollar figures. There's a drop down menu at the top left to select USD.

The availability of a descent, well priced SSD is what has kept me from building a new i7 rig. Looks like it may be time for that to change!

Nobody has them in stock in the US yet. Those links are all out of stock. Many online vendors will show them in stock when they're not yet.

    And holy $ gouging...

Sorry, I removed that link, found that they might "have them in stock but won't ship until end of January"...

If they've fixed the stuttering issues, I'll be looking at grabbing one of the 160 Gb drives for mah laptop, and probably another 160 Gb or a 250 Gb for my desktop' OS drive, too.

Not sure why anyone thought the drives would be available before now. Tony pretty much said don't expect them until sometime after the first of the year.

Looking at the OCZ forums, supposedly there's a guy "in the know" who posted that the Vertex drives have not even been shipped to the resellers yet. Supposedly that will happen AFTER CES.

That friggin' BLOWS. I'm ready rye nah and have been for over a month.
