well every since installing 2.1.5 and had all the crazy readings now i can not get any version to work or open at all. deleted fodlers all that crap. after unistall reboot. reinstall what ever version. no go. all ways says program has stopped blah blah and windows is checking for a way to solve this problem blah blah blah. what ever it say. LOL did system restore to prior to the adding 2.1.5. ive tried every trick ot ti pi could think of.

damn as bad as it was i still liked checking temps with it over hwmonitor and gpuZ.

    im on vista 64 ultimate.

Anyone else having this or had it and know a way to get it to work again? without a reformat.

I found one at the top and enable it, but I still get a message that I need to Run it as administrator.
The same message was before I turn on this service, so I believe that maybe I need to enable some more services..
    Any ideas??
Im not sure what service it is but i noticed this too on my benching OS. It wouldnt load, saying the admin stuff. I enabled a few services and it worked. Its something basic, maybe WMI?

I think you are refering to UAC?... User Acount Control?. You can turn this off under "users" in the control panel. It requires a reboot.

no UAC in xp. The error comes up as 'you need to be admin for this' but it has nothing to do with admin rights. Its because of a disabled service that wont start that AOD needs. If you open msconfig, goto the services tab, and disable all, AOD wont load. WMI is one of the services it needs, but im not sure what the other is, it worked when i hit enable all, but i never went through the list to see what made it stop.

I wonder when AOD 3.0 will made available.. Since on the dragon platform teaser (http://game.amd.com/us-en/landings/dragon.aspx) they name it as it was available. Maybe they should add a legend (4-Not available till MMDDYY).

2.1.4 seems to be the best version. 2.1.5 has crazy readings on Gigabyte MA790GP-DS4H if rig has been overclocked through BIOS. Readings are ok when BIOS settings are at default.

This is a known issue, and will be fixed in v3.0.0

new build of AOD 2.1.5 available - should fix the clock reading bug as well as systems hangs with the Novice mode slider (visible in some configurations)

Thanks for trying man, but on the Asus 79-T (which has always been pretty good with AOD), I've lost all voltages and I'm getting some crazy readings on the Mobo temps (CPU/NB & TMPIN3 all show close to 150c, I'm sure thats not right. )... All these readings are coming from "Status Monitor/Board Status". Up to this point this has been the most reliable info I've gotten from AOD..

I just Dl'd it so I'm not sure if there are other problems, but those jumped out at me right off the bat...

2.1.4 works REALLY well on this board, so I'm not trying to flame, just wanted you to know my experiences.

No I didn't man, maybe I should have... I didn't even delete the previous version through "Control Panel". I've never had to do that before though...

There a quite a few folks on here running this board, so before I get carried away and start clearing registy's and I'll wait to see other results..

Everything else is running fine, I doubt my drivers got screwed... To me thats a good thing, right?

I know this is not a priority, but any support for windows 7? The application will not even install even with in Vista and XP compatibility mode.

Good question and the current "hotfix" is to copy an existing, installed AOD folder from your Vista / XP system (default C:\program files\amd\overdrive) over to Win7 system and then run Overdrive.exe in compatibility mode (also make sure you are admin and UAC is turned OFF).

Daveburt714, argh , just the one single ASUS board I don't have at the moment!

please try uninstalling (via Control Panel), deleting existing installation folder (if still visible) and reinstalling the new package.

ASUS M3A78-T was working fine when I tried it with this new build (I'll doublecheck now!)

I was able to work around the installation problem by removing the XP and Vista os check. It required a little more work than just copying the file from one pc to another, but I was able to install and use it.

AOD 2.1.5 218 and 238 both load about 50% and then just sits there, and Iīm unable to kill the process via taskamanager... only way to kill it is to reboot.

    attached vista error description.
Is there anywhere officially I can report bugs? amd game forums doesnīt seem to be an official channel?

I've tested newest build on my Vista x64 and unfortunately it cannot detect AMD CPU

Macci, GA MA790FX-DQ6 BIOS F6D, Phenom II 940BE...
I'm going to try XP x64 as well

    EDIT: XP x64 same thing.
