Yeah, I used a Tt waterblock on my UT board, but now the backplate is stuck to the back of the board. There was some kind of superglue there. How do I remove it now :/

The MIPS blocks are hard to find in the US. And expensive. The set of three EK blocks is around USD130.

except for the fact that WCing the southbridge is absolutely useless and a passive enzotech copper SB heatsink is more than enough to cool the ICH10R

ah and another beta for the T3RS as well! should have my machine up in a few days, I can wait to use this one as it should bring even more gains and from the description it looks like they fixed the problem where the vid special add did the wrong percentage that what you set.

How did you set up the DRAM fine delay models?

Also, I have a configuration that runs for hours without issue on Prime95, but won't boot. Once in 5 times it boots 30Mhz lower, and I bump it with SetFSB. What have I done wrong?

Welcome. I went on this MoBo and Q9650, more recently, and the last two days trying to achieve stability 465 * 9, but occasionally I get a frozen screen in Prime95. I was not able to identify the cause and decided to come back.
My BIOS 12/12. I intend to start again with 445 * 9 and 2 * 1Gb sticks Cellshock and would like to get basic advice.
What BIOS settings should I play for 445\450*9?

CN, you have such a quad - I would be grateful for any help from you.
    Thanks

I have a full list of settings a few pages back for 4.3GHz which might help you get a starting point.

I found the more VDIMM you throw at the board the further you can go without lockups. Also I had to tweak the below settings.

Clock Setting Fine Delay Press Enter:

DLL And RCOMP Settings.............. - By Menu
    Ch1 Dram Default Skew................ - Model 6
    Ch2 Dram Default Skew................ - Model 6
    RCOMP Settings...................... - Model 1

Fine Delay Step Degree.............. - 100ps

Why set the fine delay step if you aren't manually setting the fine delays? I couldn't get my system to boot the 6/6/x combos. Could you post what the fine delays are for that model?

I am running 5/5/1 with the DRAM Skews set to 2100ps manual (30deg x 70ps adjustment). Lowly B3 Q6600. Passes 10+hours of Prime 95 @ 426fsb. Gets single cpu prime error after 1-8 hours at speeds 430-445, but will run 3DMark06 and appear to run without freezing at those speeds. Freezes at 450 and and higher.

I did play with the step & fine delays manually & found simply increasing the step from 70 to 90/100 achieved the same stability as adjusting the delays manually.

It is ram specific I think as all my RAM kits require different settings, just play about & see what feels best for your setup.

I was wondering what the timings are for 6/6/1. After you reboot it displays the timings next to the 'current' label.

Not only is it ram specific, but it can and will change depending on the NB voltage that is set as well.

    I loved this MoBo!

CN, You just have freezing the screen?
    You helped plant Skew 6-6-1?
At that affects FSB Vref? I installed 21.

hey andrew, if your looking for a bit higher clocks the Q9650s love VTT voltage, set it up to 1.35-1.4 and see where that gets you. should be at least another 150mhz in my experience with the ddr3 version of this board.

Thanks for that kit, now you've said that it makes sense why throwing extra vNB at the rig sometimes resulted in worse stability. This could also explain why the board's would fail to boot at a certain vNB.

    Whole PC locks up.

    I tested all skew combinations & found every increase e.g. 3 ~ 4 then 4 ~ 5 helped me prime large/custom fft's further & further until I finally settled at 6-6-1. 7-7-1 did not help any more.

I tested all FSB Vref combinations & found they made no real noticeable difference to my rig, I would say leave it auto. My rig would only boot into windows using 00,2B,28,23 & 22 with the quad if it helps.
