    ThermalTake Armor + VH6000 Build

So, I just received the last box of Liquid Cooling components. I thought I would my work log up for anyone interested in this particular case, as I found it pretty difficult to make it 'pretty' inside working with a 3 x 120mm radiator.

    I hope this helps someone.

My build is as follows :

    CPU - Intel Core i7 965
    MOBO - Rampage 2 Extreme
Video card - Asus 4870x2 (currently being RMA'ed)
    Memory - 6gb (3 x 2gb) Corsair XMS3 1600 9-9-9-24
    PSU - Tagan ITZ 1100W
    HDD - 2 x 300gb WD VeliociRaptor in RAID0
    4 X 32GB OCZ v2 SSD's in RAID0
    CASE - ThermalTake Armor + VH6000
    Fans - 3 x Scythe S-Flex 1600 RPM

    Watercooling Equiptment -

    Swiftech GTZ w/1366 retention bracket
    Swiftech NBMAX on Northbridge
Black Ice GTX 360 Radiator w/ 6 x ThermalRight Stealth Silent 3000 RPM fans
    Swiftech RadBox
    Swiftech 655 Pump
    Swiftech Micro Res v2
12 Bitspower Silver Shining Compression Fittings for Tygon 1/2 ID 3/4 OD
8 Bitspower G1/4 Black Sparkle Rotary 90 degree adapter
Black 1/2 ID 3/4 OD tubing
    Zerex Coolant
    XP-Fluid Deionized H2O

Here are some pictures of my set-up

If anyone has any questions or suggestions, I am happy to listen.

I may be wrong, but isnt the GTZ mounted incorrectly? I.E. should be rotated counter clockwise 90 Deg?

Not sure TBH but Id like to know if anyone has a definate answer as I have the same block on an i7. Ive seen quite a few people with it mounted like yours, and a few like I have mine mounted (as specified by swiftech). Not sure which is correct/better... Guess I could remount if no one knows

    Nice rig tho!

At stock, my temps hold at 50c load. 30c steady at idle.

Thanks. I really couldn't find a position inside the case that I was happy with. Could have laid it on the bottom at the cost of the HDD bay or stood it straight up along the mobo, but...

Now, why should it be mounted at a 90 degree counter clock-wise angle? I haven't seen any documentation saying such a thing. Can someone link?

I recently read a post from Gabe that said changing the mounting orientation goes against its design and you can experience performance loss.
