Agreed. He was the 1st person ever that I wanted to see banned from here. I like it here in the AMD section. Aside from the occasional Intel troll, I really enjoy the info and enthusiast in here. Now, anyone know how much the 920's are going for?
EDIT: LOL at Roofsniper....Great minds think alike. We thought the same thing. You beat me to the punch by a few seconds though.
I would say below Q9300/Q9400... but initial prices may be higher.
It seems HardOCP does have a Phenom II in their hands but NDA is not over yet? http://www.hardocp.com/news.html?new...VzaWFzdCwsLDE=Phenom II shows up in the HardForums. First thread with pics and specs and a second thread with benchmarks. Seems they were for sale as well. Two sites had Phenom II 940 and 920 processors for sale, but they have been pulled. For the record, I would not expect to see any official Phenom II information from [H]ard|OCP until the second week of January, as AMD seems to be making us hold our information till it is worthless as far as any surprises. But I will say this, I don't think we would have anything surprising to show you anyway, unless you actually had high expectations for Phenom II. If you own a socket AM2+ motherboard, I would not throw it out quite yet, but I damn sure would not be purchasing a new one.
Well seeing the hack job that THG did with OC'ing the Phenom II I'm going to take their negative opinion lightly
We all need to look at a broad range of benchmarks from different sources to really see what we have on our hands here. Just the fact that it is considerably better than Phenom I, looks like it OC's like intel chips finally, and is reasonably priced, is enough for me to pick one up.![]()
