Honestly, nowadays your average 3 GHz machine is struggling while it scrolls some text and pixels in browser. Back in the days things like scrollers and sprites were written in pure assembly and ran @ 120 FPS with 1,2 MHz CPU.

    All hail bloat!

Indeed it was a nice movie ^ ^and dont spank me with a stick : ( . Any ways lets get back to the deben reviews and lets stop the troll wars please , Id like more reviews and more benchies plus game scores too , And you have a good point after all in the end Intel needs AMD and AMD needs Intel . And to be hones I havent seen you say anything constructive about the new deneb chip Calmatory all ive seen is flames and Vs , and thats not constructive .

Still back to topic please !!!!! +1

    can anyone verify those benches?

because they were viewed with skepticism before.

i wish that italian guy was here because those are fake. they are scaled completely perfectly and each graph is pretty much the same. in real world situations it wouldn't be that way.

Particle's First Rule of Online Technical Discussion:
As a thread about any computer related subject has its length approach infinity, the likelihood and inevitability of a poorly constructed AMD vs. Intel fight also exponentially increases.

    Rule 1A:
Likewise, the frequency of a car pseudoanalogy to explain a technical concept increases with thread length. This will make many people chuckle, as computer people are rarely knowledgeable about vehicular mechanics.

    Rule 2:
When confronted with a post that is contrary to what a poster likes, believes, or most often wants to be correct, the poster will pick out only minor details that are largely irrelevant in an attempt to shut out the conflicting idea. The core of the post will be left alone since it isn't easy to contradict what the person is actually saying.

    Rule 2A:
When a poster cannot properly refute a post they do not like (as described above), the poster will most likely invent fictitious counter-points and/or begin to attack the other's credibility in feeble ways that are dramatic but irrelevant. Do not underestimate this tactic, as in the online world this will sway many observers. Do not forget: Correctness is decided only by what is said last, the most loudly, or with greatest repetition.

Remember: When debating online, everyone else is ALWAYS wrong if they do not agree with you!

Yeah I wondered about that. Probably ES, but I thought the 945 was only launching 1 month later than the 940 and 920 I thought. If yes, they might have a decent stock pile building now.

I also need a bird. Maybe i'll have to get a homing pigeon!

Chad Boga is temporarily banned. This is not the place to troll and flamebait. Keep AMD vs Intel discussions or "AMD can't beat Intel" out of this thread.

    Please stay on topic.

well i find it very odd. http://en.expreview.com/2008/11/17/n...rocessors.html look. all the other am3 cpus are listed for February. i can't see a reason why the 945 would come so late unless they were having problems with it. which wouldn't make much sense either since it should be the same as the other am3 chips but at a slightly higher clock which will already be achieved by the am2+ version by then.

edit: ya i was also thinkin about getting some water because of how much these chips like cold and the fan on my vid card is so ing loud if i want to keep it under 80c lol - you guys think 1 swiftech mcr220, with only 2 push fans, and entire loop completely inside my mid tower would be able to keep them(cpu/gpu) cool? and if yes what about NB too
I have the Apogee H2O 220 kit all stock with rad and 2 fans. keeps my Phenom 9950 nice and cool, but add in a Vid card and the NB..I don't think mine would cut it. You might need to step it up a notch.

    here is 3ghz stock v's and 3.3ghz 1.44v

Temps are only close to real temps around 55°C. Others are synthetic and may not scale correct.
