    Hey Bianco,

Haven't heard from you in a while, is the new baby boy taking all your free time?

Well I'm writing to ask where did you buy these Microcool Core Protetors, I need them for my new board but it's been 1 month that I lurk around USA for them and can't seam to find them back in stock.

I emailed Microcool couple of weeks ago but looks like they are dead, no response.

    Thanks a bunch!

hi Jor3lBR. yeah, haven't been able to do much... just planning and dreaming of the system revision. :P

i haven't seen them stocked in sidewinders too. i did some search other online shops and couldn't find any or similar chip protector.

sorry, i can't be of further help.

thanks sniperbob for the kind comments.

anyways, after cutting and drilling the necessary holes, i've sent the chassis internals for powdercoating.

    groupshot before being sent off

    to the local powdercoaters

after 4 days, got the box of goodies back

the pieces were individually cling wrapped

    assorted bits and pieces

    the mobo tray

    the midplate

    the backplate

    backplate expansion bracket

    front bay support panels

i've asked him to powdercoat black the original pieces as well

how did you find the thickness of the powdercoat? And how did you stop it from going in the screw threads?

I just got my case powdercoated while I was getting my rims done. Its a metallic color with clear. The parts all fit really tightly because of the thickness of the paint. Did you have this issue?

no issue with mine vinister. the coat was of manageable thickness. the screw threads were still fine and easy to screw stuff together. i didn't do any preventive measure though... but i read somewhere that you can put in screws (that you can spare) on the holes when you send for powdercoating so that the paint won't go in the threads.
