    Hi all

has anyone fitted the Enzotech MST-81 Mosfet Heatsink in this board? The spring pins must fit the holes but i'm asking just to be sure if anyone has done it.

    Thanks

i have been using 1102 for a few months without fault. 380*10 @ 1.368 volts rock stable.

    using simri modded 1202 now.

the maximus extreme doesnt like high fsb unless north bridge is well pumped up @ 1.55volts. (currently at 1720 @ 1t)

just bought new corsair 1800 mhz to replace my ocz 1333 which doesnt like above 1521 @ 2t

    memory: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=187853

be sure your northbridge temp isnt too high , eg: anything above 50 is considered too high.

I have found the same with the NB. I currently have the NB @ 1.69v under water, I am not going over 33C in Everest so I seem ok atm.
The QX9650 in at 450x9(4050) @ 1.44v with the corsair ram you linked to at 1800Mhz- 1.89v @8-8-8-24-2T.

I was 19 hours prime stable and memtest rock solid on 1007 but since I flashed to 1104 I fail blend prime after an hour or so.

Thats why I am trying to find a good BIOS that is tried and tested so any help would be good.

    Would appreciate any advice.

PS. If I want to flash back to the 1007 can I do that via the ASUS update in windows or will it not allow me to flash to an older version??

I have a little problem, maybe someone could give their opinion. I recently upgraded my Watercooling to include VRM's and Aftermarket NB Waterblock. Also included from previous is CPU Waterblock. I've two Double Rads, so plenty of cooling. I had previously been able to get 4.275 from CPU, but was a little unhappy with temps. Hence the upgrade. All temps are below 30 idle..CPU, MB, NB, SB. My problem is that since the rebuild I've moved house, and since moving the PC has decided to be fussy about booting. It can take several attempts. The Pc starts, lights on MB, the Fans Start, but nothing onscreen, nor does Keyboard light up (G15). The Fans run a little faster than when running, I guess bios hasn't kicked in yet. Several attempts later it can start, occasionally it will start first go?
I've ran memtest and OCCT to test memory and OC, and it's fine. When it's running there are no problems, never crashes?
I've tried swapping PSU from second PC, tried different Bios's but only stable with 1001 at this speed. Also tried reducing OC, and increasing a few voltages?
    Anyone any ideas?
Note. I've only attached little boot display today, so can't comment on that yet!
    New System : I5 2500K, P8P67 Pro, 2gig Cellshocks 1800 (some ripjaws on order), 2x Powercolor 4870's, 120gig Vertex 3 SSD, Corsair AX 1200W PSU, Swiftech Watercooling.

    Old System : QX9650 @ 450x9.5 (4275ghz), Maximus Extreme (Bios 1001), 2gig Cellshocks 1800 1:2 (7-7-7-15), 2x Powercolor 4870's, X-fi, 2x 32gig Mtron SSD's (Raid 0), Antec 1KW Quattro PSU, Swiftech Watercooling.

    :(

    Hello!!

    First of all v.nice forum

But i got a major problem with my mobo after last bios update, the flashing went wrong. When i booted i got a black screen telling me to insert a usb or dvd with extreme.rom, so i renamed the latest one to extreme.rom and tried it, but it didnt work, so i inserted the dvd that came with the board. Then it started to flash. I rebooted, and the only thing that comes up is a black screen. No bios post at all.

So any1 here know what to do? RMA?

    Great stuff, Simri!
But I have the following problem - after I updated my bios to 1102 (Simri) from 10.2.2009 I recieved the following events in my event log:

    Event Type: Error
    Event Source: PlugPlayManager
    Event Category: None
    Event ID: 12
    Date: 20.02.2009
    Time: 6:13:22
    User: N/A
    Computer: WYSIVIEWER
    Description:
The device 'ASUS DRW-20B1LT' (IDE\CdRomASUS_DRW-20B1LT_________________________1.00____\4&36887771 &0&0.1.0) disappeared from the system without first being prepared for removal.
For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.
    Data:
    0000: 00 00 00 00 ....

Of course, after that there is no DVD-RW drive in the device manager until restart of the PC.

Before flashing the latest Bios I had the one from 15.12.2008, there was no problem with that one.

Guys I had a problem with my x38 p53e3 dlx wifi crashing in vista 64 when resuming from sleep. I thought it was the board because I tried every ram setting under the sun but the ram is good. I switched to x48 rampage extreme and same crap. E8200 and crossfire. I'm not sure what the hell is wrong? Anyone with a similar rig lemme know your settings. I'm on 1104 bios

    Hello all,

    I have a big problem with my Raid0-Matrice :
    - i'm currently using WinVista 64
Motherboard Asus Maximus Extreme, chipset X38
    Processor : Intel Q9450
    2 X HDD 750 GB, Samsung Spinpoint F1, 753 LJ ( in Raid 0 configuration stripe, i got this error, first @128KB, and now @64KB )

I had this error two times, the second one today.
The actual error is : the Intel Matrix Storage Controller shows on one of the HDDs an red "X" and at the status : " Error occured " and advises me to make a back-up of my data.

    http://www.upload.ro/show.php?img=30...raid-0eror.jpg
    http://www.upload.ro/3039/1809/93123raid-0eror.jpg

When i restarted my PC, on the screen from the Bios that shows the Intel Matrix Storage Manager option, it shows one of my HDDs with status " Member Disk ( 0 )" with green colour, and the other one with " Error occured (0) " with a red colour.

    http://www.upload.ro/show.php?img=30...56DSC01852.JPG
    http://www.upload.ro/3039/1809/93056DSC01852.JPG

The first time, i got it when i tried to execute a game ; i tried to check hard disks, then defrag them, then delete one by one the partitions and create them again, but i still had the error from the Bios boot screen. Then a tried to reset Bios, upgrade Bios, downgrade Bios, with no positive result.
I had to copy all my data on another HDD and then deleted my old Raid0 Matrice, and create another one.
After this, i got rid of both the errors, and my PC worked ok for 1-2 months untill today when i had the same error when UTorrent was uploading a file.

If anyone can help me with this problem, please let me know !

P.S: Its really strange, because all my partitions are working fine, i can download, upload, like nothing is wrong.

Thank you and waiting for your help !
