I usually set the sytem up to perform at what I play the most . If i game Tighter timing High NB allows more response along with High HT.

Movies and or heavy apps 1066mhz and unganged can optimize the ram for bigger loads with stock HT and High to meduium NB..

Just see what programs or games you like most and set your rig . If you game,, Low latency is key with High Bandwidth.. You just need to find the happy medium .

Phenom has lots of ways to tweak and by all means theres no easy way . Unless maybe one keeps the system stock . Then you would just boot and play what ever and never know its true performance

Im a performance person ( Stock) is a unknown wierd language to me.
    you drunk? ..

But to the subject, the timings were the same 5-5-5-5-15-2T unganged for both frequencies, and NB speed was too the same(2400MHz).. thats why I think its a little odd. Oh well, im getting day by day more into this system, I like it very much.

Its just little sad that I still cant get this 247 stable above 3.1GHz, still the rebooting issue.. it just comes under heavy cpu-load no matter what I try. :/ And the older bios wont boot at all if I try to clock.. even 15x200 fails to boot. Just black screen.. and have to clear the cmos by jumper to get it back on.

Well well, now to sleep and then some more testing until my phenom 2 arrives

Now I have got the settings about right for 3.1GHz and maxed the performance for that(all I can do for now). 3dmark06 cpu gives 4600-4610 now. Cinebench gives about 9950 and wprime 32M 12.4sec, superpi 1m 24.5sec. And this is for 24/7 stable.

Hmmm the NB could have been under stress @ 2400 when running 1140mhz..Thus can slow down the CPU L3 /Slower results if the NB is close to max . While @ 800mhz it can handle the lower freqency just fine with out slowing down the NB.

Also the Ram Divider being used can affect the NB L3 speed @ 800 vs 1140 even if the NB speed is the same.

@3.5ghz,,My ram @ 1173 is faster on the 1/2 Ram divider vs the 3/8ths Ram divider even at the same NBspeeds Same CPU Speed . The thing that changed was the CPUxmulti and Ram multi @ 1173.

    @ 3.5ghz 293x 12 gives me a 1/2 ram multi.
    @ 3.5ghz 220x 15.5 gives me a 3/8ths ram mutli but slower latency.

The cpu multi affects what multi the ram runs on. This could explain what your seeing happen when running 1140 vs 800 in the same Ganged or Unganged mode.

    Na ,,
    not Thunk yet ,,
    to early to Drink.

Update,, Using Vista32bit ,, it can run 5200HT total I tried with XP and didnt think i could get the same results. I havnt tried for High Clocks with HIGH HT since. I just wanted to see how much HT would go with High NB on this OS. Not too shabby .

    3380mhz with 2600NB and 2600HT Ram1040mhz

    3500mhz with 2600NB and 2600HT Ram1040mhz

    3523mhz with 2610NB and 2610HT RAM 1044mhz
    Highest stable Clocks with Vista32bit.
This is my max best for everything HIGH

OMG i tried this just for KICKS 3537mhz 2620NB 2620HT

This set up scares me lol. Ok no more i quit! This made me Beer foam,, Ive never ran 2600+NB and HT over 3.5ghz Never, Need More beer and that was with XP. Vista 32bit just shocked me real good !

Theres not to much more i can get with this 9950 and im waiting for 45nm before i bite on another chip.. This has been the Most Pleasing system for me out of all Phenom to date ive tested. It can truly Clock in more ways than one.. Phenom offers a lot to play with.

This ASUS 79-T is a real Joy to make boogy if ya know what i mean. I cant wait to see what newer Asus bioses will bring with B3 and the New 45's to boot

I couldnt rember if i had posted HIGH HT with this Mobo ,,sorry if its a repost.
