I've been trying to get 533x9 (3hr run) but this chip is making me work for it. Once over 4.7 the clocks start getting noticeably more diffulcult to achieve. Gigabyte EP45-UD3P with a TRUE Black/Sanyo-Denki.
Ryzen 9 on the test bench... Sometimes older generation/tech as well.
While working on 533x9... I'd thought I'd try this... Not stable enough to complete SP 32M. (PL 10 with loose sub timings)
Ryzen 9 on the test bench... Sometimes older generation/tech as well.
What should I chose from the below two (for 24/7)?
E8400@3800mhz@1.152LOAD (Temps ~67):
or
E8400@4000mhz@1.216LOAD (Temsp ~70-72):
Note: having this Vcore it will not be stable in IBT
Does 200mhz really worth additional 0.064v and +5C ?
Thanks

Are you positive there's not some other sort of issue, faulty memory perhaps?

also update your cpuz your 2 versions behind brother
http://www.cpuid.com/
and what board you on also?
I got +0.125v on the cpu volts to hit 4.0ghz and 4.1ghz and +0.250v on the DDR volts...
link to the pic of stressing both cpu and memory

Just updated to the recent version, im doing a Small FFTs - stress cpu with Orthos atm then ill show a pick, how long should i run it for?
Thanks a mil

my friend here's a sample of my other system in my antec 300 case now...
I told someone else about I believe he has same memory as you or pc7200
but he losened it up alittle to get pretty good oc out of a Quad core this what.I said
it will not allow at 4-4-4-12 it's to tight to at that oc on the cpu loos'en it up to 5-5-5-15 as 1066 memory and.I bet you get 469 and above..I managed to
with some Corsair XMS2 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin ddr2 sdramddr2 800

sorry about the shot Networking between Machines to take this shot here it is
from my antec 300 case with the ga-p35-ds3r machine with my E6750 alittle
oc'd had to 3.6ghz stable b4 turned it down sense was at 3.8ghz stable with
some Corsair Dominator 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin ddr2 SDRAM ddrs 1066 but took them out for another board...
best a luck my friend and hope it works out..I plan to get some of that memory also later on there's only a alittle differents between the p35 and p45 bio's setup..i got a p45 gigabyte board under my bed right now ds3r..

OK I've found optimum clocks for my system and it needs no more tweaking - 4.41Ghz at 1.352v load with fantastic temps. As a bonus I've got great memory bandwidth and I managed to get my vFSB down to 1.3v, so I'm a happy chappy.

Friend: Do you have a spare PSU lying around?
Me: No why?
Friend: My PSU just blew up, I think the second 8800GTX might have been too much for it to handle
Me: what PSU was that again?
Friend: Antec 480w
Me:........
Those are some fantastic results LennyRhys i only got my E8400 E0@ 3.8 any advice i wanted to get it @4.2 at least... i got a P5Q Deluxe also..

I have a Zalman 9700, not watercooling.: My case is closed up, all my fans are at their lowest setting, and even with the CPU fan at its lowest setting my temps only rise by 1 or 2 degrees. The chip just won't get hot lol.
What volts are you using to get your E8400 @ 3.8Ghz and what are your other system settings?

I was playing GTA 4 @ 4ghz with my E0 E8400 @ 1.20v and it would crash from time to time... then i decided what the hell... 1.38v in bios (1.36 idle and 1.37 load measured with DMM @ Striker II Extreme) and now playing @ 4.5ghz doesn't give me any problems at all... not that I'm complaining
I didn't try Orthos but everything seems to be working perfectly![]()

For 4.2GHz you need to increase the FSB to 467MHz, but I'd go a little at a time. Try 445fsb for 4GHz first and they see what voltages are needed.
