To all the Phenom crunchers:
how many ppd do you get from your cpu? (please list the cpu model too)
If possible: what crunching times do you get for a HCC WU (on windows or linux)
Thanks!

WCG numbers for a Phenom 9600 @ 2.3 (TLB fix disabled) on VISTA 32:
PPD: 8250 (averaged from 13 results)
HCC WU duration: 6.7 hours
Overclocking this one to a very stable 2.472 GHz will reduce the HCC WU duration to 6 hours. I don't have the PPDs for this setup, but I just expect a 10% gain - not more.
cheers
8,2k is really kind of sad for a Quad core CPU.. that's what the Sossamans are doing, at below 100W power drain for the whole rig
I really hope Phenom II will kick some ass![]()
I hope so too. The 9850 and 9950 should have better results, though. The 9600 was one of the first phenoms that came out and we all know since the first benchmarks it will never reach the same results as a Q6600.
Unlike the rest of the forum here what you use to crunch with is all up to you and no matter what it is, we say thanks for helping.
I do want to make one small correction though.
The sossaman rigs don't do 8.2k a day..
Closer to 7000-7300 at 2000mhz(1995mhz real)

In no way did I mean to imply that the crunching done on a Phenom is worth less - I just hate to see them suck so hard compared to Intel right now. After all, I used to be an AMD buyer

That makes 7727,46 average PPD if you count the lastv 13 days (leaving today out since it's only half-day stats)![]()
Here are a couple of shots for you with a 9600 at stock with Vista 32 bit. When there is a full day reported, it's about 8000-8500 ppd. Ya it sucksMy E8400 at 4ghz does close to 10k a day with XP 64.

wow, looks like only 2 phenom crunchers in the XS team

I'm running a stock 9600BE. It can easily pull 2.8GHz but I have a really crappy board that will not allow me to adjust anythingI haven't checked its averages, but I would imagine it is in line with the other guys' 9600s around here.

i'm running a phenom 9850, at 2.6ghz. i think i have crappy chip... it refuses to go any higher lol. anyways...
for HCC WUs: on average ~6 hours/WU
I run both FAAH and HCC, and my average PPD varies wildly from day to day actually...
I like the phenom, and it's great for everyday use. it just kind of pales in comparison against the q9300 @ 3.3ghz that i have when it comes to crunching. looking to get a core i7 in january![]()
I run my 9600 at a little over 3ghz, 262x11.5 right now because its a regular. I get 8.5k on a full workday with that computer, should probably be getting more but if I disable the tlb bug completely it screws up windows sometime within 24 hours of it being turned off. I needs more volts, I want my 3.1ghz back...
Not much to say right now.
Its actually not the BE, otherwise I would probably have less trouble hitting higher. I've done higher with it with single channel, but I much prefer dual channel unganged. The board I'm using right now maxes me out at 1.25VID and thats what I have it running at. I still hate Vista SP1 for forcing the TLB Fix on, turning it off causes problems as I said before.
The 1356 isn't supported by most AM2+ boards thus far so it caused problems. Another problem is that you have to put another cpu in first to set the ram divider to 800mhz and then you have to hope that in testing it doesn't do a cmos clear on you because it didn't like a setting or two due to the lack of it supporting the 1066mhz divider. It clocks well up to 240 htt, but then it hits a wall and goes no further than that. Temps are also slightly lower, but if it doesn't clock decently I don't really care. I should have a thread somewhere in the AMD subforum from a few months ago with pics to go along with it, I was only able to test it in my M3A32-MVP which I decommissioned in favor of the SB750 board I have now, which will be getting upgraded in favor of a 790FX model again because I need alot more voltage for Phenom II with my Vapochill.
Not much to say right now.
thanks, so not really an option
