    HW Labs 560 GTX + 4 x Delta 367 CFM Fans *Pics & Vid*

Just recieved a delivery of Delta FFB1424UHE-M 367 CFM Fans

I think this is about as extreme as off the shelf radiator setups get.

All up these fans will be drawing ~16 amps or 384 watts at 24V and deliver a massive 1468 CFM to the GTX.

Hmmm that Meanwell SP-300-24 PSU isnt gona cut it... I better duck over to jaycar, then Im off to build my hovercraft.... Ill post pics and a small vid later today

Put a rad guard on it. Just in case it decides to burp a fin out. Fins at that speed could be deadly!

they run at about 70 dba

Im actually thinking of modding a noise cancelling car muffler into my case (currently considering a MM Pinacle 18) to reduce the noise

Depending on which way he mounts those fans on the case he could possibly have the first ever hovercraft computer! or worse case he sucks his mother board thru!

    >70dba if you strap them to that radiator.

The muffler solution sounds interesting... I'm not sure how effective it will be - how do you plan on doing this... I hope not just silencing the exhaust.

Ive seen muflers which use noise cancelling technology (similar to the headphones) I was thinking I'd buy one of those strip out the noise cancelling gear (microphone, speeker and probably some kind of signal processor) and mount it inside my case

Why not just wire up electrostatic transducers near each fan?
These will absorb and convert the vibrations and changes in air pressure to an electrical signal - allowing it to be modified.

I'm pretty sure this is how they make 'noise-canceling" headphones.

I thought of doing this a few years ago, but I never got around to going though with it.

The result if done properly would be like a black hole for sound waves - sort-of.

Exact same concept as your muffler, but smaller scale and higher sensitivity could be resulted.

Man, if a vantec tornado fan is self propelled, you could probably build some kind of horizontal leaf blower with that.
