Well, I usually run 4 instances with a quad for memtest using 350mb per instance with 2x1gb of ram, if running 2x2gb then I would try 500mb per instance for a quad, if a dual core I would run at least 500mb per instance of memset for 2 gigs total and 1000mb or a bit less for 4 gigs total memory per instance of memtest.
I usually let each 1 run between 200 to 300% and if it passes that, the ram IMHO is good to go. Most of the time it will error out within the first 100% or so of testing. Great way to test ram as when testing in Dos, ie; Floppy or CD at boot, it does not stress the ram as hard as it does in Windows.

, is there anyway of knowing what rev we have of the nb without turning it on as i dont have all my parts yet for the build
