How big of an improvement are you noticing on NB temps with that swiftech on there?

seems to keep the NB and SB both around 34c - 40c so far. mine was 41c - 54c before on the stock air setup.

my nb/sb temps dropped to ~30°c after applying some ic diamond, some washers to increase the pressure and mounting the ek hp block.

Something is totally off here and I was wondering if somebody could verify that this is really happening.....
I have checked this issue and am not seeing it. My ProbeIt voltages are slightly lower than shown in the BIOS. That was using BIOS 0402,0602, and 0705. I also noticed that when I set 1.65 in the DRAM that I get a 1.65xxx number that is alsightly higher than 1.65, but when read on the Multimeter i get exactly 1.65v, and when the RAM is accessed it flickers between 1.649 and 1.650 which is spot on. I am using mnaual setting for RAM. Not XMS profiles, any turbo modes or any of those "qucik" settings. I've only messed with the RAM side. I ahve not done any CPU OC'ing yet. At present I am waiting ona Video Card RMA to arrive so I can get back to testing. I ahve not measured any inconsistency with vCore when i ahd the system up before.

You might wanna describe what you were doing at the time and your OC level, and anything else you've noticed. So far all my voltages check out in ProbeIt.

I put everything together last night, overall, a MUCH better experience than my last Asus board (Maximus Formula, which ended up being an RMA)

Booted right up the first time. I haven't pushed it too hard yet, but here are my results so far: (this is solid as a rock with Linpack, Prime95, etc)

Has anyone been able to get TweakIt to work in Windows with keyboard control turned on in the bios? You're supposed to be able to hold down "P" (or whatever key you pick in the bios) for 2 seconds and then the arrow keys are supposed to work like the controls on the motherboard. It doesn't work for me, and I have the TweakIt driver loaded in Windows.

    Thanks!

Maybe it requires a PS2 keyboard? I would try it myself but I can't find my purple usb-ps2 adaptor... either that or it's just plain broken in the bios.

Did you put 1.6v through "QPI/DRAM core voltage" or "DRAM Bus voltage"?

cmon man, yes 1.65v to QPI/DRAM.
    1.72v to DRAM bus

and no, nothing here is for 24/7, this is just prelim benching until my mounting brackcomes. 1.65 is what gets me 4400 UCLK for 32M

but even at lower voltages it drops 0.05v consistently.

I just got my board yesterday and the mosfet heatsinks were loose. The bases were attached the the board but it looks like the thermal epoxy that connected the heatpipe/heat sink assembly to the base failed. I think I can just get some Arctic Silver Epoxy but has that happened to anyone else?

Yep, but mine happened because it was left in <0*C for a few hours and the glue became brittle. i just cleaned up the area and applied some AS epoxy with a high pressure clamp. Worked like a charm, probably better than the stock epoxy.

yes! keep in mind, it's still on stock. I'm prepping for a run at 4320 and 2133, but it's my mom's 50th, so i'll have to wait till tomorrow

Yeh, this was done before 1.49. And speed didn't matter, it was rock stable
Using Kingston hyperx 2000mhz cl9 dimms, so it's not really that impressive. I can't tell whether it's the uclk or the ram that's the limiting factor beyond 2200. I'm pretty sure it's uclk.

That's something I haven't tried, and wouldn't. That's a dangerous thing to do. If you have a OC fail, and loose the KB...well, you get the pic. It's either/or for me. BIOS or Manual Tweakit on the board, or the Asus Util, but combining TweakIt with the KB? Negative...not gonna give up direct manual control to my KB as that would be my last chance.

Good point, I guess I just wanted to see the feature work as advertised, even though I probably wouldn't use it either. :-)
