Totally missed my point...........Nobody should be a fanboy......unless you've got serious money invested in a company..........it's pointless to even argue for eitherside.

I have no problem rooting for the underdog......I used AMD from slot cpu's all the way to 939, they were termed the underdog then but they had a solid product.

I also used a phenom B2, 2.4g stock and it did 2.6.................thats not overclocking, thats sad......I've had horrible chips like a 3000 winnie and at least got 400mhz.

To continue supporting amd would not be an act of fanboism, it would be shear stupidity.

What i'm saying is it's one thing to be a fanboy and another thing just to be dumb as a stump..........

This goes for either brand loyalty parties involved, don't know what else to say but grow up and be the better man....If you didn't get your panties in a bunch they wouldn't do it........If you haven't figured out that thats why people do it then your hopeless.

Now hopefully this thread can get back on track because you sucessfully stooped to they're maturity level and aided them in derailing this thread........

Posting the above statement in the AMD section is not conducive to objective discourse. One might take such statements as rude and condesending.

I buy AMD not just cause I like AMD, but I have fun with there chips.. Phenom is just fun to play with.. NB OCing, HT OCing, Multi unlock, HT ref OCing.. multiple upon multiple voltages to teak...it's the challenge factor..

Agreed it's more fun to play with settings but when you spend a week playing with settings and hit a wall of well i guess 300mhz gain with insane volts ( its been awhile could of swore it was 2.4 ) its all for not. My past AMD rigs were tweak for a week then set and forget, not the case with this one. I expected more from a top of the line CPU ( at the time )

Personally the board was lacking in options compared to my reference ATI manta board..... ( I had the asus quadfire board? forgot model )

    Orb doesn't lie here's what i had.http://service.futuremark.com/compare?pcm05=1343105

You really did miss his point and if you search back through his posts you'll see one of the biggest supporters of AMD on this forum.

thx movieman, sadly this is one of the reasons why s7e9h3n also took an extended leave of abscence.....No respect for longtime contributing members.

I know, and I miss Steve.
People just have to stop taking this stuff so damned personal.
I'd be classified as an 'Intel guy" by most here but that would be them not seeing the XP1600 machine I built, or the 700mhz slot A machine that was my first "home built" machine, or the FX51 that was here and was a hell of a machine for it's time.

What board options are there for these chips at this point in time in the extreme cold department?

the part marked in bold has no reason for me, your either a member or not, regardless of 'time' or 'posts' or 'contributions'

this equates to an elitist attitude to me, and have seen this view a hundred times on other forums.

this infers that because you have been here longer, that we should have more respect?

this is how you see yourself, not how others , (like me) see you.

your just another poster, albiet one who hasnt hit this section for a while

although nice to see you made the time to grace us with your majestic presence now that Phenoms are reported to be hitting 6 Ghz,

maybe you will hang out more now?

God knows I have seen this several times too. I don't know why some equate post count to intelligence/respect or to justify themselves as "not" being a fanboi just because what occured in the past. Overall, I could careless about how many times one may post, how long they have been at a forum, their title at a forum or what happened in the past at the forum. It's best to judge a post by the post. Just because someone bought AMD in the past doesn't mean they can't be a Intel fanboi today.

Well done soundood.....Keep up the fight. All the sly 3rd party fanboism is easy to see through. I don't know why some choose to pull the wool over our eyes when their post are so transparent. There's an old saying of "A hit dog will bark" and AMD has alot of the blue dogs barking like crazy.....and for nothing....AMD nor Intel will always be the best/Number 1. If this is AMD's time to shine then let em'........Especially in a section/thread dedicated to AMD....and not Intel. I don't understand why some just don't get it. Especially after it has been mentioned earlier that they can take particular post to another thread/section that caters to what they want to discuss.

Some of these Intel folks are about as bad as some of the "Pro Mac" folks. Why bring up a Honda Accord in a thread about a Lamborgini?

chew*, I'm coming back too. Intel sucks.

I miss the days of the RX480s, I know how much you contributed back then...

It's not always the length of time soundood, but the quality of the contribution. Few have equaled chew* in the amount of quality info they've posted, going above and beyond to find answers, testing lots of configurations (sometimes out of pocket) and generally trying to make sure EVERYONE got the most out of their hardware.

All I can claim is to have supplied WC a new material to work with, not that anyone wants to play with it. Some of these guys are well connected at AMD and other places, and use that to help us, and we run them off by ignoring them or abusing them.

If you don't have anything nice to say, keep it to yourself.

I like how you highlighted that part but only made a statement based on only one of the words you highlighted.

What have you contributed? Me i put alot of time and energy into helping crack the steppings on 939 so that users would have a really good chance of getting a good chip that didn't coldbug.

Also helped out in deciphering the rest of the stepping and what it meant.

I helped out alot with abit's AN8 line of boards, owned every single one and took the time to come up with settings that worked helped with bios mods and testing.

When ATI and AMD were merging behind closed doors I was testing and helping out with RX480 and RD580....Any of the important grouper or manta threads you will see i started or was a part of.........ATI was sending me reference boards for testing.

I set a WR with x2 3800 on manta while testing.

I can't even count how many hours/days/weeks I put into helping out.

    What have you done?

Post count means nothing, quality of posts/threads mean everything.......

As for your last remark, lmao. Maybe I should have graced your presence when i shelled out big money for an asus quadfire board and a Phenom BE that was barely stable stock.............Nope instead I kept it to myself gritted my teeth grabbed something else to use while I awaited amd's return.

Throwed your really naive............secondly what the hell does a lamborghini and a honda have to do with any of this, last time i checked this was a thread about AMD's new cpu's not Via or slot cpu's. And why would you even suggest that intel is a lambo........versus amd being an honda.........I even take offense at that remark and intel never ever had a performance lead even close to that comparison...........
