Just for the record, have you tried loose timings and say 6x480 to 500fsb just to see that the board and cpu can cope with high fsb?

May have to set nb voltage high.

    hi

i cant get my PCI soundcard off IRQ 19

im on f7 bios ive changed IRQ assignment from auto to irq 5 in the bios reinstalled card but in the control panel of xp it is still on IRQ 19 with lots of other things like gigabyte gbb36x controller universal host controller etc....

anyone know why the bios IRQ assingment has no effect on xp?

    thanks for any help.

Actually, i haven't tried dropping the multi yet. Though i have added a fan to my NB and jacked the voltage up on it. Its helped moderately, but nothing that screams that its the issue. What timings would i try, they are 5-5-5-12 now.. so i should try 6-6-7-15?

Also, anyone running crossfire have problems with the board reading the slave cards temperature half of what it really is? My 3870s done this too, like the second card is running 40c, it tells me its 20c. Which is right obvious that its wrong...
