    4.65G i7 920 - EX58-UD5P on LN2

Last night i try to play my i7 920 with Gigabyte EX58-UD5P on LN2 and well it can make impressive results on my i7 920 to WR now!(maybe)

    System Setup....

i7 920(ES)@~4.65GHz, Temperature control about -25C to -30C all benching
    ZK rev2.1 ln2 pot
    GIGABYTE EX58-UD5P, F1b bios
    G.SKILL 12800C7-2GBHZ/12800C9-2GBNQ
    ASUS 4870X2 TOP CFX
    Western Raptor 150
    Silverstone OP1000W
    Vista SP1

    Setup Pic....

    Results...

    Max bclk&CPU freq. - 4657MHz (221x21) temps ~ -25 ํC

    http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=444909

    Spi 1M/32M@4.65GHz, temps ~ -30 ํC

    Pifast@4.65GHz

Wprime@219bclk(4.6GHz) - for Wprime it sure for running under 4.38GHz from real multiplier coz cpu have load over 2xthread

PCMark05@217bclk(4.51GHz) and for pcmark too it'll run under 4.3GHz on benching time

some action under CPU load for Turbo mode with CPU freq.

Some 3DBenching@~4.5GHz, for 2k3 and 2k5 i setting CPU affinity to only CPU0/CPU1 it'll running on 21x multi if don't setting multiplier will drop back to 20x on benching time

Very impressive results with 920 there.
But I thought the multiplier would not drop back to 20 if the cpu was cooled well - even running multithreaded (from what I read)?!

no , 920 with high Bclk seems to dont like too low temp. Under cascade it s very hard to oc it

I'm not sure to all... but after i'm alot of tried with Spi if i running one or two thread multiplier not drooped but if three thread multiplier will drop to 20x, May be turbo mode can work on 100% load only two-core if over two-core it'll back to normal mode

Yah i think that too look like it don't like low temps coz from i tried it not different between -30C and -50C and maybe not stable on low temps but if on idle load my chip it fine to about -15C

my both 920 works fine not bclk overclocked under -100° but one time oc , i need to reduce temp to arround -40°

    thx for posting good work

Thomas, that is also a good explanation, when you are looking at 965xe high clocks, bclk is not high but temp is low, considered to -40
