I will need to change the cooling for the Aegis card, being that it is up against the ATI card.
    the PCI ageia....

I have it in mine it's not hitting anything or getting hot at all. it's sitting on top of a 3870, dual slot one. I didn't bother to screw it in though lol

why would you need to change it. ?

they have a PCI-express version on newegg.

    on nice rig.

I'm thinking about getting that board for my bro. (dual Shanghai's would also be nice.)

I'd love to know how tri SLI 280 GTX is on that with a 4th on as a phyX card.

I'm not sure if Shanghai's are gonna be supported on this board yet. However, if Asus didn't provide a BIOS for it they would be the dumbest bunch of people ever. I think I'm just gonna wait until Q409/Q110 and grab a couple of 6-core Shanghai's.

Some time tomorrow I'll rip out my GTX260 and toss it in here. I'll get you some scores of that atleast. And I'll keep the 8800GS in there for PPU enabled/disabled tests. I'll also post my Q6700 @ 3.5ghz with the GTX260 and give you a little comparison.

EDIT: Perhaps I won't be doing that for you tomorrow. I just screwed up my board by flashing a self modded BIOS. DERRR.

I was wondering the same thing as I am thinking about getting two 4870x2 cards and possibly an physix card, but was not sure if it will actually work.

The physic card has it' own drivers and works in vantage as PPU card not a GPU.

only Nvida has GPU as PPU. it's their Phyx support.

it shouldn't matter how many PPU's are in a system either.

Well no gain on the scoreboard but the latest drivers Catalyst 8.11 gain me an extra 200 points, seems like ATI have finally gotten most of the issues worked out with Catalyst.

try lowering your HT speed down to around 2000-2100mhz and your NB speed between 2200-2400mhz and see if that helps your score. also with trifire pci-e at around 108mhz raised my score and help stabilize the oc. you should have settings in bios that will let you adjust those and still keep your cpu clock where you need it.

I tested with higher NB and slower HT , NB & HT set at lower speeds ,Running memory at 1066 with as much NB & HT speed bump in as 1066 can take and what has work the best on my Foxconn a79a-s board has been clocking the memory @800 than bump the NB & HT to 2500 i use these setting on my 24/7 (3.211 2470 NB & HT 13x multi) clock and run prime 95 thay way .Declocking NB & HT speed will lower my score .
