I think it will not fit. I cant slap it on the board because some other block are already on it. But you can see in the pictures. Probably need to mod it.

SB doenst need any WC. Passive or 40mm fan is ok. It just barely warm.
NB get hot and need proper cooling. Finish installing xp with eveything on stock and it already hot.
Mosfet also need proper cooling. It getting hot when priming.

What water-block will work on this NB? I have a Danger Den Universal and an EK NB/SB EK6 ... so you think either will fit?

Anyway of putting an external sensor near the chip? If I were to use a water-block on it, would a inline temp sensor give an accurate reading of the temp of the NB?

Gigabyte is pulling away even farther from Asus's $200-$300 Intel P45 boards.
With the ASUS, we all know pl10 is as low as you can go 1:1.
These UD3's are doing fairly nice for a p45.
Here is my Everest ss 490-530 fsb with 4gb (2x2) Gskill.
    These are pretty crappy timings.
I cant wait for my cas4 pi's to get here. Should help a ton.

Anyone here tried populating all of their memory slots with DIMMS? If so, has that affected how well the system overclocks? I want to eventually get my system to 8GB of RAM instead of the current 4GB with my 2x2GB setup.

yeah. all 8gb (4gb gskill 9600 and 4gb gskil 8800) are now bad. Motherboard is toast to. Others are running 8gb fine. I dont know what happend with my setup. I installed 8gb at 500 fsb 1:1 no post. then posted but went into bios recovery. Recovered and posted again. Then no post at all. pulled the board and put in my Maximus 2 formula, used gskill 9600 and hung at detecting ram. tried all sticks 1 at a time and it booted into memtest to get errors. None would boot together in dual channel. Grabbed my 8gb of gskill 8500 and installed into asus and all was good. Yanked asus and reinstalled UD3 with the good 8500 and still no post. Just turns on for a few seconds then shuts down. does this over and over with no output to display. I now have 3 RMA numbers from new egg.

thats pretty scary to hear, I just had to RMA my board, due to it just stuck in a quick reboot cycle, and no display. It would turn on and 1 sec later reboot, over and over.

Thank you for Nuzgo and NapalmV5 for sharing your settings. It's Prime stable but I forgot to save a screenie. I ran a quick OCCT test and a few benchies for a pic. This is what I got 24/7:

Mine got stuck in that cycle a bit and all I did was kill power via PSU for a few, then it would start up fine.

I thought I was doing all good and shiz then I go and see this thread... BAH, you guys are killing me!!!

That's what I've done so far.
I've been running stable at 490x7.5 since the last post in that thread there.
Max I was able to get before going through here was 500x7.5.
Looks like I'm going to have to do some more playing around....

    Bastages... lol

Does any E-tailers have this board in stock? I can't seem to find it. Could someone post a link to a E-tailer in the USA. Thanks

And it's even cheaper until 11/20. Just use code EMCBBBEBJ (must be subscribed to their special emails) and get it for $99.99 after AR and you still get a 2Gb flash drive for free.
