I have not seen any difference between slots on this board, I think they are diff. colors for looks only.

make sure you do a clear CMOS with the battery out for about 5 minutes...don't forget to pull the PSU power cord and push the power button to unload the caps.

According to the manual, when in x16 mode, the lower PCI-e slot is inactive.

Ok guys still cant get this to work. I get "No Signal" on my monitor. I have done the following:

Returned first board thinking it was bad pci-e slot, still doesnt work
Took a different videocard from a WORKING system and still no signal
Tried a different cpu, still no signal

Would ram do this? I doubt it would and i know these sticks test out fine in memtest, im assuming my jumpers are wrong or something? This is so irritating, here is what mine look like (this is a SS from newegg)

Are my jumpers wrong? I cant think what elese would cause this

    glad the video now works.

the shutting down and starting-up multiple times means your voltages or memory timing are not set correctly....so...it finally resets the bios to default settings...do not make multiple changes when you are changing the memory timings or voltages.

Is the molex connector on the board only used when the second PCI-E slot is being used? I had my GF's CF 4870s in my machine, and vantage was crashing when until I plugged it in. I don't see such things on my X2, even when OC'd.

I used the settings from the OP for the QX and it got my system alive enough for me to tweak from there.

usually the additional molex receptacle is there to provide additional or auxiliary power to the PCIe bus.

I noticed you have ddr2 mode Disabled in most of your overclocks.. does this mean your memory is only running in single channel.. and why is this neccessary?

Well, yes, that's as vague as what the manual says. It doesn't seem to be used when only one slot is enabled though, or isn't needed at least.

hmm interesting, i havent overclocked or messed with any of that, maybe its my volts being too low (memory is rated for 2.3/4 or something like that) and its just on default will look when i get back from class

this board auto sets mem voltage to 1.8/1.9v dunno why but it does that could be tho prob, although the Vmem volt mod WILL take care of it.

if you are not overclocking, check your memory timings to see if they might be to tight for the board and the sticks that you are using...try raising the Vdimm first before adjusting the memory timing.
