got my q9550 e0 today and stoked it up in the ut p45. absolute nightmare. unstable even at default, random power downs, bsod, black screens. checked cpu in another mainboard and it (q9550) is fine. checked my e8500 e0 in the p45 and it (lp ut p45) was fine. looks like these boards may ( or my board, at least) have issues with 45nm quads, or 45nm quad e0. its in the machine now and this is the third time i am trying to post this, it keeps on bsod'ing or random warm restarting. i ahve been over it and over it since 4pm. its about 2:40am now.
tried 4 types of ram, another psu, still ng. anybody else have a 45nm quad on this board?

Looks like you are doing fine so far.

Its not so free to run like the P35 but the power is in there it just takes time & tweaking to squeeze it out.

I cant believe it wont even run at stock there must be something very wrong there. My guess would be GTL's & VTT but you're the one in the driving seat the Guinea pig even I hope you work it out as it's a quad I will ultimately be running in this board.
