Wfo: “Everyday they upload hundreds of thousands of points. My program rounds down the remainder’s and deposits them in our account. They are just very small fractions so they will never be noticed. Over time… say the course of the Halloween race those points would add up to the winning margin."

Mike: “Why haven’t you used it?”

Wfo: “Are you kidding? I have a good job at XS. I’d get fired if I got caught. It’s not worth jeopardizing my job over.”

Mike: “What if you didn’t have the good job? I had a meeting with the Bob’s today and they are planning on firing you and Malcontent on Friday.”

Wfo: “ Son of a ! I even told the Bob’s I like Michael Bolton.”

Malcontent: “%$#^&* mother ’s! Wfo and I are the best programmers they have!”

Mike: “That’s not the worst of it. They are giving me a promotion.”

Malcontent: That’s just not right. Wfo and I are there everyday. All you do is go fishing.”

Mike: “I say we upload the virus tomorrow.” We’ll check the account Monday morning to find out how many points we have.”

EDIT: Well, apparently my computer rebooted after I left for work this morning, so my machine hasn't been folding at all today. Crap. /me sticks foot in mouth

catawalks put a shortcut in the run menu, or when you have the login screen enabeld try atleast running your smp as a service that way it will always run after a reboot. Gpu console's can run as service under XP as well, just not on vista

That is why I have my client in the Start up folder in the Start menu. Easy workaround. I have too much on start up...

I have to login first. I should try to set them up as services but it seems like everyone has problems with setting them as services in vista.

bah, I'll just back down my OC and order a new PSU tomorrow. I can't run my fans on full speed right now because it kills my harddrives.

You know when you need a new PSU when...

1. You turn up one fan on the fan controller and the PC reboots.
2. You insert a CD and just as it starts spinning up the PC reboots.
3. You hit eject on the CD-ROM and the PC reboots.
4. You crank up all your fans and the PC shuts off and the magic smoke comes out the back of the unit

You know when you need a new PSU when...

1. You turn up one fan on the fan controller and the PC reboots.
2. You insert a CD and just as it starts spinning up the PC reboots.
3. You hit eject on the CD-ROM and the PC reboots.
4. You crank up all your fans and the PC shuts off and the magic smoke comes out the back of the unit

LOL. Thank god none of those things happened to me this time, although I have had the magic smoke before.

Well, I figured it out though, it wasn't that my computer rebooted, its that when I reloaded the GPU2 client this morning on my restart, it got stuck on "Loading" for some reason. A quick restart of the client and its back up and running.

Everyone counts in a big way. Consider this...Say you only output 1 work unit a day, but your work unit is the one that helps to find the cure for cancer...Now how does that compare to a folder that crunches mega work units / day? Kind of put things into perspective huh ?
