**OFFICIAL Gigabyte UD3 P45 Yorkfield (45nm Quads) OC and Discussion Thread**

These New Gigabyte UD3 boards are awesome. I've had a hard time finding info and settings for Yorkfields though.
This thread should be reserved for Quad discussion. 45nm Yorkfields is the goal but 65nm are welcome.
Since 500FSB seems easy for quads on this board, i cant wait for some more results with Q9450's and Q9550's.

I've had this board up and running an hour. I previously had 2-Striker 2 Formulas, 1-MSI P7N diamond, 1-EVGA 780 FTW,
2- Maximus 2 formulas and 1- Rampage Extreme. My goal was a Q9650 4500Mhz 500x9 on Air. None of the other boards could do it.
Closest stable was 490x9 with the MIIF. I've only had 1 BSOD with this board and it only took an hour for the beginnings of an oustanding OC session.
This is what i call FUN! I've booted into windows at 533X8 only to get my 1 and only BSOD after 10-15 seconds.
That was with no extra voltage over what i'm running now. I'll be checking for max FSB Next.

Thanks to napalm for some bios settings.

I'll post a template in a few minutes.

    ***************************UPDATE***************** ******* 02/04/2009 These are my current 24/7 settings. 4410mhz, 8gb ddr2 @ 980mhz, GTX 295 22,000 in 3dmark06 and 23,000 in Vantage.

Here are my updated settings. My original post i didnt have gtls tweaked yet. I was able to drop all voltages.. The few minutes of Prime showing isn't for stability, just to show load temps. I am 12+ hours Small and blend stable with these settings.

I'm having a few issues with the 500fsb. I dropped multi to 8 and core 1 and 2 still fail anywhere from 2-60 minutes during blend. Going by my above template, what would you guys adjust? I cant change CPU or MCH reference, System will only post on Auto settings. Thanks!

I set ram on auto (5-7-7-15) I didnt raise vcore b/c i dropped multi to 8. that gves me 4000mhz whis is stable at 1.32v. I tried 1.45 and lower. Raised vmch to 1.65. Still no go. i wonder why i cant change any reference voltages? This board needs working GTL settings to fine tune......

Ok i'm getting somewhere. I adjusted CPU & MCH clock Skew from 0ps to 300ps. I'm 15 mintes longer than my previous best. I'm not familiar with what that setting does. Does anybody know how this works and how it effects stability?

    PHP Code:
    *********Advanced Clock Control**********

    CPU Clock Drive [1000mv]
    PCI Express Clock Drive [1000mv]
    CPU Clock Skew [300ps]

I feel like i've posted this in too many places. But I'll post again here because it looks like the thread for me

    Some results on air:
    Max validate: http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=437871
    Max CPU Math Benchable: http://hwbot.org/signature.img?iid=161004
    3d Bench: http://hwbot.org/signature.img?iid=161660
That's not max, i'm sure I could bench 3d at atleast 535 but it was late.
I'm waiting for better ram to push further currently on a notsonice gskill 2x2 kit.
Pencil mods on the 4850 are worn off so it's crippled, gotta hardmod it soon.
I'm putting this under dice soon. I want to see 600fsb on a quad xD
    I LOVE this board!

    Hi,

My random q9550 e0 is coming to me by mail - I would be happy to reach 4ghz 24/7 with it.

Nugzo as you had few M2F and others boards which would you suggest for my target GHz and also easiness of achieving it.

Ofc all other members opinions are more then welcome.

    Thanks

heres some watercooling Pics from me and my current system settings. FSB 505 along with DDR2-1263 with relaxed timings works fine here. I found Bios F4 to be the most stable and clockable with Quad and this Board. F5A caused BSOD for me. The CPU i have was pretested in a shop with FSB 471 @ 4G on air and i pumped it a little more. I also chatted a long while with the shop owner there and he said he also tested the F4, f4PI and the F5A Bios and the most reliable for Quads is the F4. I will later make a SS with ET6. And i don't know how extend you guys test, i do Prime for like 6h OCCT for 3h as well as 20 runs of the INTELBURNTEST and then i run all synthetic benchmarks i have (3dmark and pcmark stuff, superpi, everest, sandra and some more). After all that is passed i just use the system (surfing gaming benching a lil)and when i dont get a blue screen for some weeks i refeer to this as stable. I just say this cause i know some of you do Prime for days.

i do all things in bios. I just installed easy tune 6 and now imma confused. Which would be the correct voltages the one in the bios or in easytune. f.e my dram term and ref is at 0,94v but when i open easy tune it says 0,76v. Can anyone confirm this that the board also undervolts the DRAM Ref an DRAM Term v (besides the CPU & RAM v drops)?

few questions as I'm considering this board.
Will the MCW30 fit the NB/SB?
I see alot of high FSB screenies but I dont see anything stable.
How are the quads doing in real terms,MIIF is a decent board my 9550 will do 4.0 but seems to be volt hungry above 460FSB.
I have seen a few 6600's running on this board using less vcore than what was required on a Maximus X38 running same clocks has anyone experienced this for there 45nm quad?

    Thanks

Well kids, I see a lot of good screenies ... I guess I'll have to get one of these boards and see what it will do with a QX9770 in it ... I will have it water-cooled along with two HD4870 X2's (both water-cooled as well ) I think for the price right now, it would be worth it to see what the QX is capable of in this new board ...
