Nice project. you have much more energy then me friend!
My cooling setup consists of a case without a side, no fans but a 24" box fan lol. I keep it on low for browsing and crank her up to medium for gaming and high for benching woo!

Looks like you have room in your front bay to mount a 120mm intake fan. Think about getting some grated front bay covers if it doesnt already have them and drop in a 120mm fan. Might help to puch some more air through the top.
EDIT: Nevermind I accidently skipped page two where you can clearly see the front fans.
GOOD JOB AND NICE MOD!!

Boy that info was old. As am I. Currently my kids have taken over my desktops. They are both sporting matching GTX1080's. Last Christmas I got everyone Oculuses and thus GTX1080's. My eldest is some sort of CSGO champion gold label something or other. Me I work and shoot real guns. Build Comps as needed.
great work and concept, theorie!
i thought something like this, but never did for real
those rivets looks toooo crude .... although this maybe too late ... but if it's possible, use expoxy glue next time, expecially those 2-tonne strength ones ...
and expoxy glue finishes is more smoother ... maybe buff up with some cutted-corners and some fillings to smoothen the area
good design and idea![]()
that looks nice
has it actually done any better temps wise or OS wise with that ducting installed?
nice!
love the wind tunnellooks good in black

In '87, Huey released this--
Fore, their most accomplished album.
I think their undisputed masterpiece is "Hip To Be Square."
The song's so catchy, most people probably don't listen to the lyrics.
But they should, because it's not just about...
the pleasures of conformity and the importance of trends.
It's also a personal statement about the band itself. Hey, Paul!
lol...awesome sig dude
ok well here are some progress shots from the fabrication of the new subfloor. i hacked up the original one for its brackets. i figured this was the best way to have a perfect fit, and also the stock subfloor was made out of nice quality aluminum. came out pretty nice (as you saw from the teaser pics).
started some of the cable sleeving too. i am going to do everything in black mesh sleeving with black heatshrink, except for my SATA cables which will be purple mesh with black heatshrink (pic below). i think i am going to go for a "Black / Carbon Fiber / Purple" color scheme on this case. should look nice. need to swap out some LED's also i guess. also, everything will be sleeved since and clean.
at this point i have not yet cut holes in the new subfloor. since i plan to watercool the case soon, i do not want any unnecessary holes in the subfloor. i also have not actually bolted the lower mobo tray rail to the subfloor, because that would require drilling holes in the subfloor, and since i am flipping the mobo soon those holes would then show.
anyway, here are some progress pics.
1.5mm carbon fiber - nice and stiff!
cutting the carbon fiber
original aluminum subfloor
rear brackets removed
removing front brackets (includes 3.5" mounts)
test fitting brackets
subfloor complete!
underside of subfloor
new subfloor installed
installing other components
primary sata cable sleeved in purple
more progress & pics soon!
I love that carbon fiber sub-floor. Where did you buy the carbon fiber panels? And did you just cut it with a dremel, and is there any preparation you need to make to make sure you get a clean cut? I just think that is a really unique idea, and really goes well with the other components in there.

Hey dude. Im rarely in this section of the forum anymore since upgrading to a water/phase setup. But i love the neatness and quality of your build. Watch this space in 6 months to a years time when you see commercial pc's coming out with something strikingly similar!

one of the sheets i got off ebay for really cheap, but the seller only had one sheet. the other sheet (the one i used for the subfloor) came direct from a carbon fiber manufacturer - http://www.protechcomposites.com
i just used a dremel with a cut-off wheel to cut it. steady hands and painters tape gave me a nice clean cut.
Do you think acrylic would be a good substitute to sheet metal?

I can't wait to see how those lcd screens look when you mount them. Can you give us some details on how they work, mount, etc.. when you get a chance?
That's pretty sick, I can't wait to see the result.
Dude, that looks frickin awesome man. Your case is starting to match the coolness of your FD3S..![]()
Wow, now this TJ-07 is sick!
Keep up the good craftsmanship!
