    yep that eraser stuff is better imo. when using bluetac it takes alot more time to get that stuff off cos its sooo damn stringy. but it works just fine.

    i am specifically asking about "sweating" issues and whether kneaded eraser is any different to bluetac in that respect

    yeah it does not sweat, but not as much as bluetac.

    idk what kind of shops you have where you live, but the most reliable place would be a plumbing supply shop. most hardware stores won't carry it.

    yes this is a good question ! eye got 6 packs is that enough thier the
    Staedtler type gray like 1/2" thick by 1 1/2" X 2" square (thats in inches)

    what's the best way to insulate the NB area and mount a pot to prevent harm to the die?

    you can also insulate with tent mattress you will just have to find 1 thats the right thickness its pretty similar with neoprene and can be found almost every where..

    Between the insulation for F1 and the eraser i always put thin layer of neoprene so the eraser doenst stick to the tube's insulation.

    bluetac sweats like a pig and solarfall was saying he uses a layer of something

    If you had a NB pot handy you might want to slap that on there. at least with my quad on air nb volts really helped and that bugger got hot-- the reason why i bought a pot for her.

    no sweating at all
