Chiller with 2 pipe HXs but w/o condenser?

Is it possible to replace condenser in chiller with HX where warmer water goes thru. And second as evap for cooling water ?

So water goes thru bot HXs first cooling the refrigrerant and then refigrerant cools the water, does this sound reasonable?

Then it's easy to make quite compact chiller

Then where does all the system heat go? It has to escape the system somehow

It's ok, happens to the best of us Now if you can make that a reality I think there'd be some questions from the scientific community Your best bet for a compact chiller though is precisely what you are talking about with a remotely located radiator/ground sump/water barrel.
