Yea, one would think that some major feature of a motherboard series would not cause serious stability issues when used with a card is supposed to support it without issue. Apparently not

Im guessing that the occasional "cmos checksum bad" might have had something to do with this.

Well done ...

Ive noticed the 79-T likes the PCI-E to stay @ 100,, im used to setting 101 with other Mobos .Ive found that as HTT goes higher my soundcard would lock..Indicating the PCI-e was going up too..So setting 100 keeps it 100% locked.

258x13 for 3.35ghz (for now 6gigs 2x2gb and 2x1gb sticks so all 4 slots are being used, ram 1/2 for 516mhz 5,5,5,15,25,2T. Ill be posting a screeny a bit later.

funny thing is I was aware that they were out and available on Newegg when I bought mine. I just rather have it on the spot and I went ahead and picked it up locally. Should have just ordered it on line though

Look at it this way, all the more reason to get Deneb. Im in the same boat as you and frankly couldnt care less. 4 months from now ill have deneb and 4ghz so MEH!

Having issues getting this thing to stay stable at any frequency over 3ghz and I think I found out why. Despite throwing 1.55v at 3ghz it wasnt stable but if you look at the screenshot I provided earlier my NB freq is really really high.

What's the multiplier for NB in BIOS normally called? because 200 x 15 @ 3 looks 100% stable at like 1.40v. I think this may also be linked to why hybrid SLI was not working correctly from before

its usually CPU NB multiplier. You can give the CPU nb and the NB a bit of voltage to stable it though. I can do 2500 NB with only a minor minor voltage increase.

Ill give that a try, still having issues with getting 3ghz stable but I am begining to think that is related to my lack of ACC and the SB750 since I am on an nvidia chipset.

the nvidia chipsets are that bad though let me tell you. However I think with ACC you could do better. Probably your problem right there.

Just seen my first stable results at 3.4g with 1,425 vcore at 5-4-4.
15x228 and I can run Farc Cry 2 and wprime32x2.
Max temp 39 degrees.

the nvidia chipsets are that bad though let me tell you. However I think with ACC you could do better. Probably your problem right there.

Ugh not what I wanted to hear, my hope was that nvidia chipsets were better than their intel cousins. The board feels stable it just wont go to 3ghz so Im not sure if thats a problem with the board or the CPU
