MSI X58 Eclipse - update BIOS and dead mobo

Hi, after update of new BIOS is mobo dead and on display is CPU Init, CPU is great and in another boards works perfectly ...

Is there some solution of problem, i tested everything ... remove battery, Clear CMOS, unassembly whole system ... but no success. Is mobo ready to RMA?

It happens. Can you hotflash with another board that uses a similar chip? I know alot of the newer ES boards use the super tiny bios chips now.

Just googled this problem and came here, so thought I'd drop in my 2p.

I've killed 2 MSI X58 Eclipses by this method now - first on .123 BIOS and second on .125 BIOS using M-Flash. Apparently MSI has problems with its M-Flash and recommend not to use it for the time being.

I can't even hot flash because it's soldered to the board

I flashed my board with mflash and it worked. Just be careful u have it pointed at the file when u flash and not the folder. I made 2 copies just in case, one in the root and one outside. I hope I dont kill mine but anywho just thought Id chime in since I did get it 2 work.

oh great... I just got this board... oye! well, I was hoping for no headaches but that might not be the case... well, maybe I should just sell it and go asus.. but I like the layout on this one so much better.

The bios seems more stable, I have the platinum board not as good as the eclipse. I would flash with a floppy to 1.1 then try mflash on next bios release, the google comes up with that advice on msi forums. Using mflash did make me nervous the first time just flash and dont turn off the computer. -----Flash then reboot in to windows then reboot again go into bios load optimized defaults boot into windows, shut down computer, unplug cord, press cmos button reset on back of computer, then overclock. Worked for me. Oh ya my usb stick is also formatted in fat32 not fat and its a Pny brand.

Try to repair the failed mainboard with a TL-399 debug card.

Can u explain what a TL-399 debug card do? and where to get it.
I also have a dead mobo, after flashing with M-flash.

Are there already any solutions for reviving a dead mobo?
