NCIX FTW!!!I got my card from the same place. Prices slightly better than NewEgg and no taxes.
Looking forward to you installing that EK block.

My new shop will open soon. I won't accept anything but BlueAqua bucks. I have a Microcenter in my basement.
I felt obligated to stick that 8800gt in there, it was feeling left out.
I need to get some new lighting to highlight the pictures better. Time to work on that, but hopefully everyone will see the pictures improving throughout this thread. That's a side goal anyways.
Thanks! This 4870 X2 is a beast!
You have a terrific build, a build that's really interesting to watch it develop. Don't hesitate to ask me a question about anything. I learned so much when I did the phase/water build, it was a huge challenge.
Thanks. I sent you a full image, let me know if you want the raw image.
Yeah I am really impressed with NCIX. Considering I ordered it on Friday and got it Monday is just crazy. I think I'll shop there more often, plus I don't mind supporting a store with a great guy like Linus working for them. I appreciate his involvement in this forum.
I was going to install the block, but I got busy with other things and messing with my new htpc board. Here![]()
Thanks man for sending me that pictureThat very nice

If you can get it done straight I think I'll be able to as well, I think I will order my nickel block in the next few days.... I don't have my 4870x2 yet though![]()
that block is just sexy!
Nice work fitting the block - looks nice![]()
That block is scweet just as it is. I like that look. Check out these washers. You can get them at Home Depot. I used the #4's for my last set of EK Blocks.

Thanks. For some reason the pictures were not coming out just right. I had the white balance off, doh.
I'm using a Canon 30d with a Canon 28-135mm IS kit lens.
I went to Home Depot and bought some washers. I thought they would work great, they're fiber washers but the inner diameter was just a tad too small. Back to Home Depot I go tomorrow.
Here are the ones I bought:
