Thumbs up *CALLING ALL JOE OVERCLOCKERS*UD3 FSB Shootout: Post Your Highest FSB. TOP 10 Inside!

Gigabyte has recently demonstrated the next innovation in high frequency + stability computing with the release of the UD3 (Ultra Durable 3), as well as 2oz copper line of motherboards spanning Intel P45 and X58 chipsets. To read more about this technology go here: UD3 Technology

The recently released P45 has been spotted on XS benching 3D at an unprecedented 670FSB , and even more impressive, pushing a 45nm quadcore easily to 540FSB; thread here Quadcore @ 540FSB here

Simple Question: Is your board better than a UD3P? Let's see some overclocks; even if you fall short, it's okay. At least try to make it to the top ten list.

Please keep it short and to the point, I'll update the thread with a list of the top 10 FSB overclocks from this post. CPU-Z validations are welcome. Cheers.

interesting.. however i do not believe in durability. This is because no1 is gonna use a board for 5years+... so whats the point of it being ULTRA durable?

no real OC-er uses fossil old boards... and thus do not require that durability that GB provides.....

    1. With this technological innovation, among a host of others new features currently being introduced by Gigabyte, is UD3 the real deal, or a gimmick?

I believe this is real deal. I remember GIGABYTE starting to introducing All Solid Capacitor Motherboard for more durability few years ago and then Ultra Durable, Ultra Durable2 and now Ultra Durable3. And we can see other brands follow the trend from GIGABYTE.

    2. Is Gigabyte set to take on Asus?

    Can't comment about this

    3. What brand of board are you using, and how far has it pushed your CPU on the FSB?

I'm using GIGABYTE P45-Extreme and GIGABYTE EP45UD3P. (click the link for FSB information)

    4. Would you seriously consider Gigabyte for your next upgrade after learning of this new technology?

    Already upgrade to UD3.

I want to add something about UD3. GIGABYTE just release their newest testing for UD3.

    This I did on Biostar I45/e8400 -

I want to see if this Gigabyte offers anything beyond that. It's hard to say past 650fsb unless you compare using the same ram, cpu, conditions etc.. I am tempted to grab one of these GB boards.

the link in my sig is the highest I've gotten on my biostar but im memory limited. the first post does not seem up to date as there is someone with 700+ fsb and your highest listed is less than that.

    1. is UD3 the real deal, or a gimmick?
    we'll see.

    2. Is Gigabyte set to take on Asus?
i wouldn't mind if they slapped around asus for a while.

    3. What brand of board are you using, and how far has it pushed your CPU on the FSB?
    posted above

    4. Would you seriously consider Gigabyte for your next upgrade after learning of this new technology?

    1. With this technological innovation, among a host of others new features currently being introduced by Gigabyte, is UD3 the real deal, or a gimmick? Could be a better board due to a new revision chipset... I'm not impressed by high FSB as it's for benching only... 24/7 rocks my world

    2. Is Gigabyte set to take on Asus? Could be they got a winner here... but would be nice to see the average Joe push it insterad of P3tit, Hipro5 and co

    3. What brand of board are you using, and how far has it pushed your CPU on the FSB? Asus P5Q Dlx 500FSB on the QX9650 is doable for benching though for 24/7 Heatoutput is too high

    4. Would you seriously consider Gigabyte for your next upgrade after learning of this new technology? yep I could, awaiting more news but really hesitating to go P45 again... think X48 bundled with DDR3 will be again on my list as last 775 mobo...

Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved

Remark : They call me Pro Asus Saaya yupp, I agree

With the new chips coming out soon the only reason i went for the gig board was that is was 106 after a 20 mir, plus DDR2 which i had some fast stuff, so it was so cheap and had potential that i wanted to play.

First my highest CPU mhz. Notice how high auto settings raise volts? Can't stay at those settings and expect to keep the CPU!

    and highest FSB

My ram is the limiting factor here for sure.
