One of my Kingston Hyperx 1066 SLi sticks fatally stopped working and after a while (a week or more) working again "without vaseline or deep freezer" just wrapped 'em with aluminum foil for saving their lives I love 'em...

Jo, I think our freezers/fridges are colder here in SA. I mean two of our fridges (Yes not freezers) are between 2c and -3c.

BUT sERIouSLY. the Micron data sheets list the min storage temp at -105*C for D9s.
    So I wouldn't do that...

Well they run under LN2 so I'm sure they'd be fine. Anyway, my sticks are doing 3.3v/DI this weekend, wish me luck

well those specs aren't retail fab specs or end user spec, they're direct maf'g which tend to be a lot sterner than 'reccommendations'. -105*C most likely represents the minimum temp the silicon itself can withstand for extended periods of time without experiencing fatal thermal warping.

this may explain why my Cellshock D9's keep reviving every time. I used to use them for couple of months for 24/7 on really tight timmings and 2.4V, eventually they would refuse too boot. Then I would just change them with another kit (this one from my sig) and use that kit - not too much OCed. After like a month that they've spent in the drawer I would try them and they would boot normally again, with same OCing capabilities. Till now, I didn't know why this happened but it seems they just needed to chill-out a bit

I'll shove my D9s in the freezer again later. Try for a week this time @ -25c, long shot, but worth a go I guess.
