You are a champion! The EK 250 res is sitting right here in front of me! I can't stop playing with it, as it's my first piece of watercooling hardware! Thanks again twwen!

Also you have inspired me to log my own water build, when it is time..

Great work so far! The res does fit nicely on the pump!
    twwen2 convo:

Brenton(switch8): "what's the assignment like? Is it hard or just big?"
    Tom(twwen2): "both long and hard"
Tom(twwen2): "omg that sounded so dodgy! LOL"

    You underestimate me my friend.
The bottom port on the EK res is actually not in the centre, it's offset to one side. So by rotating the res on the pump, i can adjust the distance to the case till it's flush. Does that make any sense?

Cheers, i like it much better now too.

The feser tubing is not up to scratch i'm afraid. I have the 3/8 x 1/2 in orange, and it's just horrible. It's stiff, kinks easy and is just nasty to work with. Now before you go and say "that's cos it's thin wall", i also have some Pro-LRT in the same dimensions and it's miles better. A world of difference i assure you. It will still kink if you push it far enough, but it's soooooo much better than the feser stuff.

I'll try to get some pictures up for you.
great info bro. thanks so much.
the only issue i have now with using colored tubes - the res! hahaha. thought about car tint... or put a led in there somewhere...

    The Finale!

I never thought i would get to say this, but

    THE BP RMA HAS ARRIVED!!!

This means i can (and already have) finish this build.

The final stages of the project were fairly straightforward, i just had to:

    - Measure, cut and install the tubing
    - Fill and bleed the loop
    - Connect all PSU cables
    - etc

However i still managed to run into trouble, even this late in the piece... You'll see what i mean soon.

First up the tubing goes in, courtesy of BP's rotary 45s!

And now the pump and res. Can anyone spot my stupid mistake...?

Yep, i mounted the pump so that it directly blocked the PSU cable plug. Yep, i had to rip everything apart, pull everything out so i could drill two more holes and move the UN bracket along a bit.

Now with some distilled water and a drop of PT Nuke, the sole UV CCFL is turned on...

And last but not least, the case sides go back on, and the project is complete!

This one's my favorite, the shots where i could lay the camera on the desk came out best, they're nice and sharp like this one

Well i guess that wraps it up!
Thanks all for reading, i truly appreciate all the enthusiasm, advice and attention from everyone.

Now, of course i'll continue to add bits and pieces to this log, i've gotta tranfser my HDTV card over from the previous rig, and there's overclocking to be done, but of course!

    4GHz........here..........we.............come!

Looks like a fantastic build Twwen2! We all make some mistakes on these, there are just too many variables in these builds. Great tube routing and use of fittings, looks very professional.

Where is your other stick of ram?

    Haha it's in now.
I installed vista with just one stick for stability, you know the deal.

    Trust me, you don't!
There's nothing left to shoot, just the plain black box really.

Sure, go for it! I can't guarantee that i'll do anything about it, the box is all closed up now courtesy of 12+ screws.

I'd love to, but at this stage i can't afford to get it done professionally, and i'm not gonna try myself!

    Thanks guys.
I can't wait to start the overclocking. So far i've spent 2 days straight installing software and downloading updates. I've taken two days off work to study for my exam tomorrow, and i can honestly say i haven't done a single minute of study...

    Wish me luck boys!
