    is7 voltage mod

Hello guy, long time reader, first time poster. I was on this thread a coulple of weeks ago looking for a vdimm mod for my IS7 standard. Some guy posted on how to perform the mod, but I can't seem to find it. If any of you guys happen to know where it is, post a link for please. Thx guys.

Thx man, I appreciate that. You know what, you're the guy that I was reading the thread on about this mod. My IS7 sux. I have Geil pc4200 which is rated at 266MHz and I've hit a wall at 260 FSB on my IS7 (voltage at 2.8, but really 2.77 in Windows). It's not my chip as I have a 2.4C that will at least do 285 FSB with 5/4 divider. So, I'm hoping this mod will get me to at least 275 or so 1:1. Thx again.

Malves I dont understand why you used the third leg on the VR ?? And to ground.

pc ice's pic makes since, just replaceing the fixed resistor, with and adjustable risistor. TWO WIRES

That leg to ground has thrown me for a loop.

I just did the mod and now the comp wont boot.
All the lights and fan come on. But no video.
I hear the beep so I know the cpu booted up.
But then I hear the mb trying to boot up 2 whirrs but no video,
tried a pci vid card still no boot.
All the parts work, did I kill the board.

I used a fixed 1.5k resistor, is the reason why it wont boot up.

1.5k is too high resistance there most likely.
Use the mod Malves just posted. It will most likely give more stable Vmem and its safer to use too.

    Some more IS7(-E) stuff:

    Vddr (again):

Set resistance between the blue wires to 0ohms first and then increase it.

Vmem modded and ready for action:

    Hey, macci

Nice work on the vtt over there. I don't have my IS7 anymore, killed it after doing the Vnorth mod. But I'm curious to know how much ohms you started with on the vtt. Thanx, bro.

Started at 0 ohms just like in the Vddr mod. Monitor both volts from BIOS.

I bump this thread as I'm planning on doing the mod myself.

Macci: I guess the trace that has to be cut is the vtt feedback... Do you happen to have any alternative soldering points for that one? I don't relly like soldering directly on the traces.
I guess I can take the real vtt from the MOSFET, but which leg on the Winbond?

    10k @ 0ohms increase for more voltage.
    Vdd

    50K @ 10ohms. Increase for more voltage.

Do it and let us know!

Seriously, I'd do the vagp mod only for benchies, but for 24/7 use I'd stay around BIOS vagp options - if this board has it.

When I was doing vmods, I tested 2 IC7s with the same components. One with full mods (vdimm/vtt/vagp/vdd) and the other with only vdimm/vtt mods. Both boards got to 290FSB max.

Would you say that the vdimm mod will work on the Is-50 (Digidice) board?
